  1. I got an o dark thirty call from the older daughter (ok not that early, but it was still dark) - command decision to not wake everyone else in the house (they are night owls, I am an early bird) - and so just I went and had breakfast with them as they drove through on their way home.

Not the way I want to do visits - but with my husband not able to be in the car for very long - and everyone living so far away - it will do. Son looking to leave the great white north in the next year - hopefully will be closer then. Daughter looking to move into KY in the next year - which has always been a good rallying point - since we lived there for 9 years and know it well.

Amazing to stuff 6 adults and 4 children into our lovely little mid-60s 3br/1.5 house without any major destruction. I am finding my horses and other animals - in unusual places in the house - but without breakage - it’s just trying to remember where they were decorating in the first place.

And leftover meat for days - isn’t always the baked goods that just get sucked up so quickly? But there are things that can be done with the little leftover turkey (I think only one container) and the ham.
