Some things just get lost in translation.
Looks like Elf & Safety were off the job here.
Sort of an odd construction for the roof. It appears that only the front corner of the roof struck the tree with a glancing blow, yet the entire roof came off in one virtually intact, undistorted piece. It’s almost as if the roof were designed to tear off the vehicle like the perforated top of a box. The roof was significantly stronger than its supports.
That design is inherently unsafe in the event of ANY collision.
