  1. Your local police should be considered armed and dangerous…

An entry in a VA Hospital medical chart left me scratching my head, “History of sudden death”.

I am going to strap buttered-side-up toast to my cat’s back, drop her, and see what happens.  I’ll get back to you with the results. Regarding the VA chart, there is something called “Sudden Death Syndrome” which, if you’re lucky, is survivable.

  2. Forget the stylistic problem—why is this asshat still on the force?  “Paid administrative leave” my aching ass.  If any of us ordinary civilians racked up the violation record this idiot has, we’d have had our licences pulled years ago.

  4. My question?

How did he EVER make it onto a police force in the first place?? Don’t they do a background check on pending candidates ? And if so....shouldn’t his driving history - as troublesome ( gawd ! what an understatement) as it is - come into play regarding his suitability to be an employee??

Me thinks the employer of this ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN is about to get their derriere sued off....and the cost passed on to the taxpayers in that community.

Oink? the cat? poor cat! ha! what a visual gulp

  5. I guess it is easy to say that you have to be able to read to drive in most states but since everyone starts driving ‘bout the time they can see over the dash in KY, it isn’t necessarily a requirement.

Actually pulling his gun would be much better for all involved - most guys in KY can shoot a bird out of tree stinking drunk. When you start shooting as soon as you can hold a gun - it’s about the only thing you can do well.

Check a lot of the statistics involving education, income and so on - KY and Miss usually fight it out for 50th place. Louisville consistantly tops the list for cheapest housing prices for a city.

As far as driving records - they’d have no one driving city vehicles if bad records were an issue. OH is very tough on dui’s - almost no one in KY would have a license if they got tough on it.

  6. Repeat: The cops’ problem is their recruiting pool—the human race.  They do a good job, better than we have any right to expect considering the BS, danger and the pay.  We had two bad cops a few years ago; off duty both of them beat on some guy in a bar who didn’t do enough to deserve it. Classy. Not their first problem—outta there, both terminated.

My Son-the-Art Student was walking down the streets of Chicago dressed like a sculptor who does metal castings. The USMC calls it “Joe shit The Ragman”.  He also looks like a thug: rough face, & muscles from weight-lifting, judo and ice hockey. A car pulls in front of his path at an alley, cutting him off and two plainclothes cops pile out. He was afraid of a mugging, until they yelled “POLICE”.  He responded, “WHEW! You’re the Good Guys!”
Then everybody relaxed—but it could have gone badly.  He matched the description of a mugger & I believe it.
