I thought that these people were Mormons (not that I have anything against Mormans) when I first heard about them. Some people just get into a groove. I know her feeling - I loved babies and that time too but with my 8th pregnancy (5 born - 1 died in the hospital) I just knew - emotionally - I could not do it any more. I get the urges now and then - especially with the newest grandbaby because she is absolutely adorable and just so sweet - but the factory was torn down years ago. Which is one of the results of multiple pregnancies.
They don’t have TV (unless they added it) but have several computers - I guess the answer is - in reality they don’t do birth control. . .And she is healthy and very fecund!
Insanity!
wardmama4: such a nice way of putting it that they like to f**k!
Some people believe that any form of birth control is an affront to God. Certainly the pill and IUD’s are not acceptable in that they allow fertilization but prevent implantation.
They better stop soon or they will run out of names that start with J to name them Geez.. Im guessing John David and Janna must be twins at 17.. but it looks like he basically got her pregnant almost right after she game birth every time.. barring the gaps between Joshua(19) and the twins(17) and Jill(16) and Jessa(14), Josiah(11) and Joy-Anna(9), and James(6) and Justin(4)..
Maybe they keep on trying again so they can have a baby born in June? LOL.. maybe that’s why they havent used June. and only 2 sets of twins in the batch..
I thought my pastor’s family has a lot of kids (Number 13 is due in December). Their oldest, Adam, is 20 and their youngest (for now), Gabriel, will be two this October. No twins.
Maybe he’s starting his own cult?
No worries about people’s families running in and kidnapping members!
After they wheeled her off to recovery she reported pointed to Jim Bob and exclaimed, “KEEP THAT MAN AWAY FROM ME!”
Blaise Pascal (1623-1662)
In Pascal’s Pensées, one of his large religious papers, Pascal made a famous
statement known as Pascal’s Wager: “If God does not exist, one will lose
nothing by believing in him, while if he does exist, one will lose
everything by not believing.” His conclusion was that “...we are compelled
to gamble...”
Anomyous, the moment you die, you will know if God exists.
If they can afford to have the children, what business is it of yours if they do? As long as the taxpayers aren’t paying for their care and being home schooled, the taxpayers aren’t paying for their education either. Speaking of home schooling, universities are doing all they can to recruit home schooled students.
And I thought I knew some big families ...
Anonymous, just because she’s preggers that much doesn’t make her stupid. Some of the smartest people I know were self-taught ...
Here are just a few famous Americans who were home schooled.

What is it with liberals that they are so hateful and angry? If you don’t believe in God - great for you - but I don’t call people who believe in Santa Claus or the Easter bunny and inflict it on their children (or grandchildren) ‘idiots’. These people are Christian - which means they don’t do the eye for an eye and stoning to death (anymore) - Christianity (The New Testament)is about forgiving and being more Godly in our behavior and accepting responsibility (repentance) when we make mistakes.
Homeschooling is not picking up books lying around the house and ‘pretending’ to teach the kids. The programs that are out there are set up - I did it for my daughter’s JR year of high school - and struggled (I admit) with the Chemistry - but with the book and workbook, which were the same as the H.S. here uses, my son taking the class at the same time and help from the teacher - she made it through. Local groups help out as those with strengths and specialties will trade out teaching and/or provide camps/programs and such. Lastly - watch their home building show - the kids helped build that house and this family continually takes them to teach them about things - most kids never see, learn about or ever get to try. These kids are not drooling idiots led by drooling idiots. I was impressed.
Macker - I wasn’t saying that at all.
These are just people who believe what they believe and live it - which is supposed to be what Christianity is all about.
Oh and BobF - you forgot Thomas Edison - whose teacher called him addled and kicked him out of school.
