They have one of these at the Smithsonion Air and space museum in Chantilly Virginia, OMG, they are Awesome, even just sitting there on display, the plane looks menacing.
What about the F-22’s, didn’t they pretty well make every other plane out there obsolete anyway? Not that I’m complaining, if they have something that can beat out the F-22 even then I’m all for that, nothing like complete domination where it’s very important.

By the time the F-35 finally goes into service, we might be able to afford 5 or 6 of them and maybe a couple of spares.
By the time the F35 enters service the U.S. economy will have expanded to the point we can afford a couple hundred.
Now, if you think the F35 is neat, wait until the next generation comes online. When it does we may have to “fess up” to the rest of the world about our motives.
“Okay, if it makes you happy, we are out to conquer the world. But since we’re not out to trample anybody into the dust, we’ll let you surrender to our representatives on your own time. If you need a century or two to get ready, it’s fine by us.”
Whats the point? un less you sell off some of your old stock, Russia is dead, a greate aircraft though.
Best get that damn thing into production damn quick, the way things are going with Israel and her scum bag neighbors.
F/A-22= next-gen F-15
F-35= next-gen F-16 and A-6 and F/A-18 and AV-8B
Btw, the ‘anti-stealth’ radars being sold by various countries? Only designed to work on the faceted kind of stealth used by the F-117. The continuous curves of the F/A-22 and F-35? Nope.
Whats the difference between the two? The computing power available to design the curves. The F-117’s stealth was designed in the late ‘70s/early ‘80s. The F-22’s in the early ‘90s. The F-35 in the late ‘90s.
Computers are doubling in speed every 2 years or so (used to be 18 months, not its slowed down a little)
What are we going to see designed using next year’s computers?
bulldog: what’s the point? China, N. Korea, and that Russia sells shoulder-fired AA missiles to anyone with cash.
