   I think it’s in the latest Scientific American Mind, but there’s a report out that says blacks see whites who won’t acknowledge a black as being black as being more racist as than whites who do. In any case I hope Mr. Steele does well in his new position.

5. Mythusmage, that sounds like a pile of crap to me. And if it’s true then it’s the blacks who are racist. Not sorry, but if you want full equality and all you can’t EVER make an issue of your skin tone. I simply will not accept the ‘have your cake and eat it too’ attitude that allows people to use their color to any advantage when convenient. That’s ‘seperate but equal’ from the other end, and that doesn’t play either.

   Acknowledge it, sure. Make an issue of it, never. Use it as the one and only qualification for getting elected President of the United States “because it’s time”? Not in a million billion years.

6. I posted this on another site earlier. Not wanting to write the same thing twice, here it is:

   I was a Maryland resident when he was Lt. Gov.
   I was impressed by him then & I hope he’ll bring the GOP around. Interviews I read at the time allowed as how he was a die-hard Constitutionalist and was as tired of the usual bullshit as those who voted him in. He & the Gov tried to change things, but Maryland is a locked-in Socialist playground and has been for decades so they didn’t get very far.
   I wish him well and hope for good things from him.

13. Michael Steele is someone I’d vote for if he had been nominated by my party - as I would have for Condoleezza Rice at least they are 100% of what the racists in this country claim they are. Conservative.

14. Yes Drew, I believe its true. Conservatives and honest repubs have no quarrel with color as most dont make a living at using it for their own persoanl gain as jesse,sharpton and thier ilk do.
