  1. So much for the 1st Ammendment Unless, of course it favors the Socialist, Democrats when they riot in the streets.

Or like the naked gay dudes who parade around San Francisco and have anal sex in the streets. That gets an OK from the Liberal local government and a miss from the Liberal MSM.

But selling cupcakes with the cost calculated by race is a big NO, NO.

STOP THE WORLD. I WANT TO GET OFF!

  3. I have my own thoughts on this whole issue - but it centers down upon the FACT that the so-called racist bake sale idea was a REACTION to University policy of making minority status (and the demonstration FOR that policy the day before) as a requirement for application to the University. A little itty bitty fact that the msm either seems to leave out - or puts into the last paragraph of the article.

Bad Idea - Maybe but lets have the whole story before we automatically condemn it.

Lloyd Marcus wrote an excellent piece: A Black Man, The Progressives Perfect Trojan Horse

and he is authentically black enough to write about it - Racism via Obama!

  4. Here’s a link to one story that clearly shows the bake sale for what it is:

    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2011/09/27/controversial-bake-sale-highlights-debate-on-bill-allowing-california-colleges/?test=latestnews

That sale is a protest to a CA bill SB185, which would allow colleges to take race, gender, and ethnicity under consideration ... which is pretty much the opposite of Proposition 209, passed in 1996, that minimizes such consideration. Wimpy action on both sides: Prop 209 does not demand that these NOT be considered, SB 185 does not demand that these MUST be considered.

But the bake sale is a protest, and a truly ironic one; if race can be considered for admissions, then it should be considered for pricing. So it’s reverse racism, just like the school uses. But while the left finds that practice Ok for admissions, they get all uppity when it’s used for something as low level as cookie pricing.

Funny line in the story: one lefty teacher tried the old “make it all go away” tactic of buying up all the cookies, but the Campus Republicans would only allow her to buy one cookie. Stealing entire print runs of campus newspapers because your group doesn’t like the bend of one story is a tried and true leftist tool at colleges.
