  4. OCM,
I understand your feelings about The Nuge. And I understand how you ‘flip to off when it starts’ Believe me, I do too when democratic arguments end with ‘think of the children’ or when Randi Rhodes says ‘We only want to do it for the Greater Good’.  Spoken like a true Socialist.
Have you ever read “Kill ‘Em and Grill ‘ Em” or “God, Guns and Rock and Roll” by the Nuge?  They’re incredible.  They read like cookbooks, because they basically are.  But they speak of something much, much more: The Spirit Of The Wild.
I grew up with the Tedster in my psyche.  He’s a true Bloodbrother of the Ones Who Prey And Pray For The Wild Things.  From the beginning of the hunt all the way to end, and to the management of the herds thereafter.  It is the DEFINITION of conservation.  If you’ve never experienced that particular dynamic of taking life to sustain life, I do not fault you for it.  But I definitely do recommend it.
ps. How are you doing post crash-wise?

    ps. I promise, I didn’t MISread it.

  5. OCM (#7),
That compliment is very much appreciated!  My Mel avatar was picked after great deliberation and is serving its purpose well.  I respect Mel Gibson immensely and hope to be as cool as he one day.  With that in mind, I use his avatar as sort of a check and balance system in the sense that all the stuff I say, I try to say with respect, knowledge and humor. In other words, I ‘run it by him’ before hitting submit. Mel is the greatest. Thanks.

As far as the Nuge issue, his whole life is dedicated to teaching respect for the Wild Things, the Spirit of the Hunt, and the responsibility you have for your animal brethren when you hunt for sustenance.  But I understand having issues shoved in your face and I couldn’t agree more.

Wreck-wise...as long as you’re still posting and having coffee with all of us in the morning, then all is right in the world.  Glad you’re getting better.
