  1. Does this surprize anyone?

Senator Clinton’s only hope is to disparage and weaken Senator Obama on personal matters and considerations.

She cannot possibly attack any of his issue or policy stances.  They’re identical to hers.

  2. "Young man, I’ve told you a hundred times to stop rummaging through my purse!  Meet me out behind the woodshed....”

    LOL

  3. I love it.  The bitch is losing and losing to someone she never saw coming.

Now, our problem is McCain.  Is he the best we can do right now?  Any chance of a brokered convention with someone else getting the top spot?  Some of his politics are ok, some are scary, like Mcain-Feingold and his votes on 2nd Amendment issues.

  4. I love it too, Dr. Jeff, at least so far as it goes.  Trouble is, there is still plenty of time for arm-twisting (if you care to refer to it by such a genteel term) among the so-called “superdelegates” before convention time.  And it won’t be done by Marquess of Queensberry rules.

In the ideal scenario, of course, the Scum Party would be torn straight down the middle by OBM and the Shrew.  It would be more than slightly amusing to watch them fight like vultures over the remains.  It would be even more amusing to watch the loser sally out and mount a “third party” effort out of petty spite.  Either of them is petty (and obstinate) enough to do that, not to speak of the legions of vermin who cling to them like lice to clothes.  Perhaps this is too much to ask for, but it is nice to dream of it, by God!

As to McCain, it would appear that he is, unfortunately, our most viable mediocrity in a field of mediocrities (and worse).  Although I sincerely hope I am wrong, I would lay odds of fifty to one against any brokered convention with someone else getting the top spot.  My fear is that too many of us will pout and sit on the fence as we did two years ago, when the donks recovered complete control of the congressional hog troughs.  At that time, too many of us stayed away from the polls in order (or so we thought) to “teach someone a lesson.” And look what we got.

I am by no means a supporter of McCain; he is entirely too ambiguous and slippery a character to suit me.  But if I am forced to choose between McCain and either OBM or the Shrew, I must hold my nose and vote against OBM or the Shrew in the only plausible way.  I only wish it was possible to vote against those two without voting in favor of anyone else.  To such a pass have we come.

It is unfortunate that there always comes a time to cut cards with the devil.

It is even more unfortunate that we are approaching such a time.  But it is better to cut cards with the devil than to let the devil stack the deck against us all.

  5. I’m just waiting for The Hildabeast have a “Kramer moment” and drop the “N” word.... She’s crazed and narcisisstic (sp?) and sociopathic enough to do so, in a blind fit of rage…

She and her evil, corrupt hubby would stop at absolutely nothing, in order to re-gain power. They know no shame.

  6. Tannenberg,

I feel the same about Senator McCain; in a world of lepers, he’s the one with the most fingers.  In another entry, I announced my development of a new drink in Senator McCain’s - and this election’s - honor; the Senator McCain.  Two jiggers of tequila and two jiggers of Maalox.  It should be self-explanitory.  Salut!
