  1. Outlandishly refreshing. He isn’t PC and isn’t afraid to speak his mind.

I don’t have a clue who the party will choose, but I do not think they will pick Mr. Trump.
I don’t believe they have the backbone.

What’s your thinking on his splitting the vote and US faces another dem. administration.

  3. I am glad that someone is finally pointing out the Clause in the 14th Amendment that makes it clear - that the Amendment was NOT about anyone squatting in America to give birth - gives birth to an American citizen.

The 14th was passed to rectify the local laws in the South (i.e. Democrats) that were denying freed slaves the RIGHTS that the 13th Amendment just gave them. And to make a stunning point that the 14th Amendment was not about ‘anchor babies’ - Native Americans were not made US citizens until 1924.

    and finally,

Even Harry Reid knew how bogus this anchor baby (please see the 1982 Supreme Court decision that this bs was in a footnote - not even the full decision itself) nonsense was - as in 1993 he authored a Bill to get rid of it.

  4. Well said! Well said indeed.

It kind of boggles my mind that so few people out there get this. Especially given where the very word “citizen” comes from: Ancient Rome. Citizenship conferred many rights, but it itself was not a right. It wasn’t something you gave you the slaves you hauled in from abroad on a daily basis, it wasn’t something you granted to all “Friends and Allies” of Rome; it wasn’t even something you gave to all Italians or even Romans borna nd bred for the longest time (which is why the Social War happened; the Italian allies- or Socii- wanted in).

It was a living testament of rights and responsibilities, to be limited to those loyal to the civilization and government. And only those.

Hell, even this shoddy MMORPG loosely based on ancient Rome IN SPACE ("Star Citizen") can get the idea right.

So why is the government of the greatest superpower the world has ever known forgetting it?

    PS:

On a technical note, “Subject to its’ jurisdiction” is somewhat misleading. We can indeed say that in many ways illegal aliens are subject to our jurisdiction (or would be if people caught them or had the balls to enforce them). We see that every day when Mexican or Chinese nationals get arrested for the crimes they committed against us.

The reason is simple. Even if you are a foreign citizen, you are still subject to the laws of the nation you are in (within very, very few restrictions). This is why John Adams could sign a document titled “The Alien Act” mostly looking at French and British citizens who were feared might undermine American security.

While that law was quite unconstitutional and many people gave a right stink about it, the stink was not over the most basic concept: that a national government has the right to impose its’ laws and hold jurisdiction over foreign nationals on its’ soil. Exceptions- like diplomatic immunity- are RARE and meant to be that way.

That being said, what separates the Illegals from that- and even legals fromt he intent of the article- is that they are NOT purely subject to American jurisdiction. They have not waived their former national identity and rights thereof to pick up those of an American citizen. In the case of illegals they haven’t even bothered to subject themselves to the kind of jurisdiction the US imposes on lawful foreign visitors.

    This is a damn perversion.
