  2. He didn’t win from my vote.. I’m thinking 1 of the reasons he had a high showing in florida is that maybe some Democrats went and changed their voter registration to republican so they could vote for McCain and at least have a counting vote after the delegates were stripped.... also I heard that in places with touchscreens apparently in more then 1 case the pollworkers were told to have Voters with No-Party Affiliation to choose democrat or republican.. which since Florida is a closed Primary state, is not a choice they should’ve gotten.. many NPA voters showed up due to the property tax ammendment..

  3. I wasn’t cemented on who I was going to vote for till i got in the voting booth.. other then I knew that I wasn’t voting for McCain.. and since we have optical scan ballots in our county, I know that the votes I bubbled were the 1’s that were counted..

  5. And isn’t there one of those pesky “law” things that says campaigns aren’t to start UNTIL Labor Day the year preceding the election? I must be wrong on that.

  6. comment #2 - lazy or overwhelmed poll workers huh? Hmm, I think it would take me about 2 seconds to design a switch that would shut down the primary voting for the NPAs. Of course that would mean quite a bit more work for the poll workers.

It is actually a very important thing to keep in mind: in the “interest of fairness” many states have allowed cross-party and no-party contamination into the primaries. It should not be this way. If you want a voice in the DNC candidate then you have to register as a Democrat. On the other hand, I can’t come up with a reason you couldn’t belong to as many political parties as you wanted to ... but you’d only get to vote in one party’s primary - an idea which assumes the primary voting is done using the public voting machines and staff. No reason it needs to be, other than cost and convenience.

  7. Only TWO years? I’m losing my mind, I think its been several decades Minimum since this malarky started. I’d had enough of the campaigning back in July.
Seriously, even though McInsane was my #8 pick back then, reality is he has the best chance of beating Hillary and Obama.
Lets remember, this aint over until Hilary is crowned third runner up. No other alternative is acceptable.
