  1. Jesus fucking Christ. Vilmar and Allan, check out this story.

I thought these days were over man. I can’t wait to move the fuck out of Seattle.

  2. Move here to VA Beach. The region of Hampton Roads (including VA Beach) was called the ‘military capital of the US’ by the Census Bureau in 2000.

You won’t see very many anti war shits here (though you will have to contend with the fucktwits of PETA-their world HQ is in nearby Norfolk) The local news stations are unapologetically pro military. It’s a friggin all day TV coverage party when a carrier arrives home from a deployment, hell even my husband’s boat got a small mention on the news when they came home from deployment…

    and he’s on a SUBMARINE…

  5. Couldn’t link to your First Aid site.........However, I’m a little upset with Severa & Barb’s comments.........My son is Navy aboard the USS Enterprise and I am damn proud to be a Navy mother!!!!!!  He & his wife live in Chesapeake and intend to stay in that area.  He’s in for 10 years with 2 to go.......I’d like to see him stay in for another 10 but he’s considering going out after 10 years....that’s his decision & I will abide with what he chooses........anyway I think we owe a lot to our servicemen and women for serving in these very trying times!!!!!!!!

  6. My favorite animal in the ENTIRE world is the shark. The good Lord found fit to drop me in that great oceanic metropolis-Chicago. I have been to the sea exactly ONCE. My SON gets to go to the Virginia Coast! The “little” monster was trying to egg me and Jennifer on at the Taste of Chicago.
He took our pix and instead of “say CHEESE.” it was “Bush/Cheney SUCKS."- Oh and he’s a White Sox Fan. Other than that , he’s a great kid.*huge grin* Barb
    I LOVE MY WEBELO SCOUT!

    P.S.  Pretty smart kid!

  8. "Pretty smart kid.” Reeeeeally Vilmar?. Well in that case, I’ve told my son that it’s NEVER too early for me to start hunting for his future bride. I wonder if your lovley little granddaughter might be availiable in-oh-EIGHTEEN years?!
Barb *son is yelling “You can’t MAKE me wait until I’m 28 to get married. If you try that I’ll SUE you!"*
    PS. Trinity Wommack-hmmmm.

  9. Tell your son I believe the legal marrying age in South Dakota is 14 so he’ll only have to wait 14 years.  No make that 13 years, 8 months.  It’s not too long.

Now, since we’ve arranged the marriage, let’s talk about dowries.

And, oh, one more thing, Go Yankees!

  10. Dottie,
My brother-in-law was a Navy officer during Gulf I. My husband was a Reagan Era Marine. My best girlfriend-Jennifer-the one who posts on BMEWS-is shipping out to Army bsic training next month-She joined the reserves, and I washed out of USMC bootcamp in 1989 due to a coordination problem.
I am so pro military it’s coming out my ears.
I was complaining that my son got to go to the beach and I didn’t.  I salute your son and want to thank him for helping protect my freedom!
God bless all our Military-and spouses, and all our Vets too!
    Barb

  11. Barb- sorry you have never been to the ocean- perhaps you & your hubbie should take a trip out East......I grew up on the coast of Rhode Island- I always say “saltwater is in my veins”.  I love living here in St. Louis but I do miss the ocean & go back east as often as I can.......the east coast is beautiful & the coldwater seafood is scrumptious......anytime you think you might want to go, let me know & I can guide you to some beautiful places to visit.......

  12. Chicago--Boston
    Chicago--Tampa
    Chicago--San Francisco
    Chicago--Orlando
    Chicago--Portland, Oregon
    Chicago--Miami

Big cities + lots of flight = cheap flights.

I am flying Tampa to Denver round trip----$200.  I can’t DRIVE that cheaply and that’s just gas!

You owe it to yourself if for nothing else than a weekend to do it.  West coast, rent a car, drive up the coastal highway and catch HUGE POUNDING surf, cold water.  New England east coast nice surf, cold water. Florida east coast, OK water, some surf; west coast, no surf but the water temp now is 85 degrees.

    No excuses!  Dottie is right.
