  1. People are fired up, I tried to go to the Romney/Ryan event here in Manassas an hour or so ago. Couldn’t get NEAR the place. Granted Manassas is a bedroom community about 30 miles west of D.C. but I wish they had picked a bigger venue than the little ice skating arena (extra large gazebo essentially)in old town, something at least the size of a high school football stadium. No where to park, screening line ran over 4 blocks @ about 2:15. I’m on a cane & stand long so I had no chance to get in. Mitt wasn’t my first choice but we’ve got to get him in there to get this commie pinko bedwetter out of OUR White House.

  2. A surprise pick. Ryan is on record that he’d rather stay on the House Budget Committee and work to get finances in order. I have absolutely no doubt he’ll still do that. Unlike the current VeeP, Ryan will doubtless be point-man on such issues. If not, Romney’s not half the manager I think he is. Ryan is also not going to be the buffoon that Biden is.

  3. Oh, funny. On my Facebook page an old girl friend was calling for a ‘truce’ between Romney and Obama. She wants them to stick to the ‘issues’. I actually wrote back and said: “Obama needs to come clean then. I don’t believe Mitt Romney has ever written an autobiography in which he made up girlfriends!” As I pointed out, I don’t have to ‘make up’ girlfriends, do I? That particular girl and I have been ‘intimate’ way back in high school. I don’t have to make them up. I’m still in touch with some of them.

Shhhh! Don’t tell my wife. That would really tick her off!

  4. Paul Ryan is a big-government phony.  He voted to create the Dept of Homeland Security, the TSA, voted for TARP, the Patriot Act, NDAA indefinite detention, loves to police the world, and his own budget plan adds like five trillion to the debt the first 10 years and wouldn’t balance the budget until the year 2040.  ...this guy’s a conservative!?

  5. I am glad it is Ryan - and Wes - by your definition - all of the moroons in DC are phonies (be they conservative or liberal - as they all vote for all the crappola that is dangerous, unConstitutional and had added to the debt since they got the 16th Amendment passed to raid our wallets at will. I sort of agree - which is why I call them crapweasels - although his bio doesn’t quite list all the votes you have attached to him (and I won’t dispute it as I don’t want to go to the Congressional Record right now) - and it was that lying ferret Paul Krugman who claimed his Road Map raised the debt by 4-5 trillion - and that ‘ferret’ math - has been dis-proven.

Anyone, most especially Romney/Ryan are better then the liar and idiot we have in office right now.

And - oh btw msm - Romney’s ‘major gaffe’ - was the exact same one OBAMA DID in 2008 - but Romney’s never claimed to have been to 57 states, said Israel is Israel’s best friend, said (on Memorial Day) that the nation honors it’s unbroken line of fallen heroes - and I see many of them in the audience, that 10,000 were killed in a Kansas tornado (death toll was 12), (on Military Interpreters) ‘we only have s certain number of them and if they are all in Iraq then it’s hard to for us to use them in Afghanistan (and for someone so dedicated to the muslim world) he should know that Iraq speaks Arabic and Afghanistan speaks Farsi, that his uncle freed Auschwitz, that his parents got together because of the Selma March or that . . . .need I go on?

  6. Oh yeah - I forgot this - 6 minutes to reduce Obamacare to the spending pos it is - too damn bad that our D crapweasels in DC cheated to get this pos passed - go Paul Ryan. You all wanted someone to go after Obama - meet Paul Ryan:

  7. When Ryan and Slo Joe square off, I will unplug the phone, turn off the internet, put up a do not disturb sign at my home and take the next day off work. I’ll have to do that last one inasmuch as I won’t be worth a crap with sides aching from the laughter....

  8. Paul Ryan isn’t a phony because he’s a big-government neocon.  He’s a phony because he’s a big-government neocon pretending to be a small-government conservative.

All anyone has to do to see Paul Ryan’s budget figures is look at his budget plan right on his website.  No real spending cuts.  Trillions added to the debt.  Never balances the budget until the year 2040.  It’s absolutely absurd that this guy is considered some kind of fiscal conservative.  Oh sure, he may want to spend less than Obama does, but anyone who can’t balance a budget in under 28 years isn’t a fiscal conservative.

Patriot Act, TSA, NDAA indefinite detention, TARP, GM bailout, the list goes on.  Paul Ryan and those like him are what is wrong with the Republican Party.

I think four more years of Obama might actually be better since if Romney gets four years he has a good chance of getting eight, Obama doesn’t seem quite as interested as Romney does in starting WW3 with Iran, and if Romney is President, Republicans will give him and the neocons a pass like so many of them do now.  ...Not to mention if Romney loses big, it will show how out of touch the GOP is that they keep running big-government idiots (McAmnesty) instead of running an actual small-government candidate.

Of course if the GOP loses, they’ll blame the Ron Paul supporters, even though when it comes to Ron Paul supporters the establishment GOP broke their own rules, blatantly cheated, literally called in the SWAT team, literally assaulted them, and are even currently trying to get the nominated Ron Paul delegates thrown out in Maine.  The corrupt establishment GOP treats Ron Paul supporters like dirt and then expects them to vote for Romney.

That reminds me of a joke…
A guy tells his friend, “Hey, I finally figured out who I’m going to vote for this election!  I’m going to vote for the big-government, NDAA indefinite detention, Patriot Act, TARP, bailout, gun grabber candidate.”
His friend says, “Great!  ...which party?”

  9. I saw the 6 minute piece of Ryan slicing and icing Obamacare.

I’m in awe and amazed that Obama held still for it without finding a way to cut him off.

I hadn’t been paying that much attention to Ryan before this, but the more I learn, the better I like him.  He has a nice grasp of facts and figures along with a rational analysis of what’s in front of him.  I like that.

  10. Gee, I hope R&R win the upcoming election.

Cause iffin they lose here’s what Obamahitler has planned for the destruction of the 2nd amendment and the country:

  11. New Jersey - I LOVE IT - every single military person will love it too - R&R is just what America needs right now - and then back to work - renewed, rejuvenated and reinvigorated!

There has to be something in the water in DC - I agree the Patriot Act, No Child Left Behind and much of the entitlement bs - both parties are part and parcel of creating and funding - but the past 4 years have been a ‘hidden’ (as there has been no Federal Budget and of course the eternal ‘baseline budgeting’ that increases all the entitlements by 3 to 5% without even voting on it) spending and added to it has been spending on steroids.

Anything will be better - and we need it now.

And as long as people refuse to talk the truth about ALL politicians and the Federal Budget and that everyone in DC for decades have been moving us toward full government control of everything - nothing is ever going to be done. I don’t want to cut out everything but without even admitting cutting (even starting with a percentage) needs to be done - is just as wrong as refusing to work on the bloated, loophole ridden tax code which favors the very people who really shouldn’t be favored (the very bottom and the very top).

Until everyone comes to the table honestly (which is simply what the WI & OH union bills were) and with America’s best interest at heart - nothing is going to change. But getting rid of liars and out-of-control spenders - is a HUGE start.
