  1. I understand that in Chicago they say “at least we’re not as bad as N’awlins”. It would appear that the pot wants to be a lighter shade of black than the kettle.

  2. Corruption rules everywhere in politics.

Not a city in the country could match the federal gov’t for cronyism and corruption.

  3. Maybe not in the 20th or 21st centuries...what about the 19th?

  4. Yes-but do the dead vote in N.O.?
They’se gots NUTHIN’ on “us” cause we be ooold school corruption!
N.O is just a johnny come lately compared to Daleyville*strikes line through prior word* that great hub of industry that I find my self lucky enough to live in a satellite of. wink

  5. Nah, they’re pikers in Ohio. Some brouhaha about some missing collectible coins is gonna cost some people their jobs. Then there was the fake voter registrations traded for crack that would make Daley laugh too. I mean, names like Charlie Tuna. Then there were the counties with more registered voters than people living (or buried) there. Gimme a break.

They need some inspiration like that provided by Lyndon “landslide” Johnson who could make ballot boxes disappear and reappear with the requisite vote counts.

They’re all pikers compared to the first Richard Daley though. HE stole a Presidential election for JFK. Doesn’t get any bigger than that.

I’m thinking that the Bahstin machine is good. We don’t hear much about them, which makes them even more subtle. How do you think Ted Kennedy has been able to hold his seat in spite of all he does?

Oooh, then there’s New Jersey. Remember the switcheroo that they pulled when the “Torch” was going down in flames?
