  2. The Jug is not the most attractive WW2 aircraft for sure, but it did get the job done. I read somewhere that when they used them in the ground attack role they were capable of over turning a tank through the firepower of 8? 50cal machine guns. Plus having that big radial up front acted like a bunch of armour plate. At the end of the day it was a big jug! What’s not to like LOL

  3. SNAFU is a model P47D with an old slide back canopy.

    Later “D” versons came with the “bubble” canopy.
