1. Is it the EU or the PU

   My daughter’s last Email says it all about those dumbass EuroPeons.  She has been traveling in the EU for two months.  She left sunny Florida for this.

   Subject: back on radar

   well hello papa.
   (we are finally back in the land of the keyboard being relatively in the right order, in this case they y and z are backward so from here on out these letters will be backwards in this little note.)
   well sitting in the tent one morning, getting a late start because of zet another torrential down pour, we decided that we just had to go some where it was not raining.  we looked at each other and there was onlz one logical conclusion.  THE ARTIC CIRCLE!  there would be no rain there for sure!  so at that moment we packed up our soaking items and headed north.  we were unable to get our posh virtuallz free cruise back because there was another strike.  this time it was a cruise boat stike.  we couldn’t believe it.  how manz strikes can a person run into in onlz a couple of weeks?

   (she gets to venice..then train to vienna..train to munich)
   a hungarian train to be percise, trust me there are manz manz trains that are nicer than that one!  whew!  from munich we went to copanhagen and stockholm then to a place called kiruna sweeden.  we tried to see the northern lights but it was just too cloudz.  then we took a bus ride to narvick norwaz.  the bus was driving like it was on I-80 in the middle of a warm sunnz daz, but it was on a tinz two lane road winding road completlz covered with ice.  we just kept giggling trinz not to act like! we were scared out of our minds the whole time.  only when we had gotten off did we confess our fears.

   we decided to go and have a beer.  we found a little spot and immediatlz a person to our right asked if we wanted to plaz cards (zes in english!!!!!  thank goodness for scandenavia thez all speak english as their second language!) prettz soon we were learning norwaz drinking games and we were teaching jacks and fives and drunk driver in the middle of a gaggle or norweigns.  “we don’t see manz americans especiallz in the middle of winter!” never the less, I was wasted!  the next daz I woke up a mess…

   The artic circle was beautiful!  beautiful but expensive...so we are out of there.  we headed south again and made our waz to the much anticipated amsterdam adventure....brussels is no place to go, however!!!  verz big and verz none interesting...luxenborg is recommended.

   now we are in germanz…

3. ...but “old world” Europeans are VERY strict about who they let in....

   Ummm ... Vilmar, this statement does NOT jibe with the fact that most of ‘Old Europe’ now has a Muslim population of about 10% or more. Perhaps you were referring to the social rather than the political entities? In which case ... moot point ain’t it? Seeing as how the Muslims don’t want to assimilate uder any circumstances.
