  1. I do not think I ever read her, nor did know the he was a she, altho I am very familiar with the name.  I have loved Science Fiction all my life.  Problem is, 98% of it is absolute crap. shit  I must have a recommendation from someone I respect before I read.

  2. I just reread Galactic Derelict for like the 20th time since jr high school. Still a great story even if the tech is somewhat dated. (no sci-fi writer forsaw the pc...)

    To Oink,

I know you don’t respect me, or even know me, but then, how can I respect someone who’s avatar was Monica? Even so, allow me to recommend some shit

Cities in Flight by James Blish. Mostly science-crap, a pivotal scene involves the City Manager of New York, a city flying through space, losing his slide rule! But the story line is excellent.

Time Enough For Love by Robert A. Heinlein. A rather lengthy novel about a 2000 year old man. The science is crap, but the stories and philosophy are great.
