  1. Like a lot of government regulations decreed without reference to reality, this one has some weird points, so does the article.  There are 2 bits that got my attention.  The first was that the buses got caught up in a regulation aimed at long-distance truckers and the second, was that long-distance coach journeys were exempt.

What are they trying to do with a law that apparently limits trucks (or what seem to be local buses) to runs of 30 miles or less?  I live in Los Angeles.  I drive 30 miles just to see my mother (Yes, I really have one and she was married to my father.).  I also think all of us know that runs of 2-300 miles aren’t that difficult as long as your bladder holds out.

This one seems even odder than most government regulations.  It’s easy enough to see how some regulatory body put this one on the books.  What isn’t clear is why do people seem to accept it so easily.

  2. Too many laws.  As in our gun ownership.

  3. Ah the fun of the EU.. All it takes is a government that is basically a mini-UN. 14 different languages in 26 countries. Also, from sources I trust, one of the most corrupt governments other than the UN (they try harder) and basically, in my opinion, something that will suck the life out of Europe for the “sake of all”..

This is the way that they are attempting to push the US. Frankly, it worries me.

just a quick one, maybe $0.01 worth.
