Niiice… Europe gets bitten in the ass by the organization that was supposed to make everything “skittles and beer”, and NOTHING can be done about it.
At least there is really no one over there with the balls to do anything about it.. I think it’s time to plan and reread 1984…
Perhaps they think that they can become the OneGlobalWorld power that runs the World! Too bad that they don’t realize (I know, they are too busy laughing) at the power mad ego driven lust that The Won has to be Master of the Universe. And sadly he has the military might to do it (right now, however, with a key General going behind his back - or did he?!? - and SNL turning (sort of, have you seen the guy - not one of their most spot on parodies) on him - things are not as rosy as was before. And of course we all know, that his key most important agenda right now is the Obamacare - which now appears to be going down in flames - before it even gets written. That does not bode well for The Won in his massive power grab. I have a feeling that before Christmas - he is going to try to collapse another industry (to then take it over and renew his Obamacare push) - problem is there is an election on Nov 3 - and while there are not any(?!?) seats up - there are a lot of local issues that I think will be ‘the writing on the wall.’
Didn’t anyone’s mother over there teach them not to sign a contract without reading the thing?
Wardmom, I don’t think the contract they signed onto included all this stuff. Nobody saw this way back when.

Check the public statements of the bastard Ted Heath, I remember him saying that anyone who thinks the EU (or what it was then) is anything other than a trading organisation must be stupid, that was in the 60sit seemed a crock of shit to me and I was a no-nuffink teen then. in the late 90s he changed it a bit, he thaen said that anyone who thought it was other than a political organisation must be stupid,he makes Obama look honest!
It is a disaster for England (I dont care about the rest of the former UK, they think thewy will be better off ruled from Brussels than London, just dont whine when it all goes wrong)

Sorry Pieper, but I disagree. A large reason why you don’t really know where the EU stands is because it is genuinely more malleable than China ever will be (at least under the present regime), and there are certainly worse developments that could happen.
I hope that the nations inside can retain their independence and autonomy, and if so, an empowered EU (if it can be cleaned up enough) may in fact be useful as a counter to Russian power on the continent.
But be careful, because you had better be prepared to try and push for those reforms.

Ha Ha thats funny Turtler, please try not to use genuine and EU together unless it is in the negative sense. The EU has inflicted more harm on England than Hitler and Napoleon together, your second sentence is plain foolish, read EU referendum blog it might open your eyes. It needs every member of the EU to agree to get a reform through, then takes 6 years to happen, in theory.
