  1. At hospitals, it’s called an AMA discharge when a patient leaves Against Medical Advice. At the VA Hospital, I pioneered the AMF Discharge for getting rid of jerks: Adios Mother - doggiestyle

So I say to all you emigrees to Canada:  AMF!

  2. I woke up in the Ozark Memorial Hospital and they went through my wallet and billed every card I had, not just my “State Farm” auto insurance.  Don’t wreck your car in the Ozarks or at least don’t slip into a MO coma.

By the way oink, your AMA in insurance is called NCP (non compliant patient) and that makes them UNINSURABLE.  Who wants to insure a dude who won’t do what the doctor orders?

In Iowa we say if we moved the lower counties of IA into MO we would double the IQ of both states.

  3. HAH! Just wait till they get up here. Here are just a very few little things they can look forward to:

Gasoline: $0.90+ per litre X 4.5 litres in a gallon. Figure it out.
Most provinces have gov’t auto insurance. Wait till they see how much it is to insure a vehicle.
Smoker? - $75.00 and up for 200 cigarettes.
Beer drinker? - $23.00 per dozen and up.
Sales taxes: (PST & GST) 7% each for a total of 14% on most purchases. GST always on eveything.

Income tax (personal) Depends on which Tax Bracket you’re in but figure on 30% and up. Then there are the CPP and EI deductions and federal taxation.

Our dollar is high right now at about $0.80 US, so it won’t buy as much, but has been known to dip into the low 70’s.
Better have a ‘much in demand’ job background or you’ll be flipping burgers at McDicks for $6.50 an hour or as a labourer at about the same. If you have a certificate or licence in some trade - forget it. Might as well use it for asswipe. It’ll be no good here. Especially trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) since our CSA/ULC standards are much more stringent than the US. Besides, many provinces have galloping unemployment. In some provinces, you can’t buy a house unless you have a job - even if you can pay for it in cash! (It has something to do with bad guys buying houses for grow-ops or something.....)

Wanna move to the west? You might not be welcome in some of the ‘redneck’ areas. Some people take a dim view of your type out here (especially Alberta). So best stick to S. Ontario or Quebec - you’ll fit right in with all the other Liberal assholes.

And who says Customs and Immigration will let you stay? They used to insist that you have enough money (cash) so that you can leave the country if you’re not acceptable.

Try to find a doctor who will take on new patients too.

Those trying to get up here probably won’t be gun owners, so I won’t even begin to go into that!
And there is SO much more in store for you.....

  4. Let’s throw a little reality into the article (sorry).

No one with an approved visa or who is actually in residence in Canada from America was interviewed.  Intentions are nice, actions are better.  A visa to live in Canada is incredibly difficult to get.  It would be easier for them to try to emigrate to Australia.  Lawyers on the west coast are charging $500. a seminar to try to instruct people how to do something that in reality they have almost no hope of being approved to do.

I’m laughing my butt off.  All these forons are going to do is spin their wheels, waste their money, and move back into a single wide because they already sold the house and gave up the job and the only company that will take them on now is Wally-World.

  5. From:  No time for Kerry’s Europhile Delusions October 24, 2004
    BY MARK STEYN SUN-TIMES COLUMNIST

After much stonewalling, the Province of Quebec’s Health Department announced this week that in the last year some 600 Quebecers had died from C. difficile, a bacterium acquired in hospital. In other words, if, say, Bill Clinton had gone for his heart bypass to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, he would have had the surgery, woken up the next day swimming in diarrhea and then died. It’s a bacterium caused by inattention to hygiene—by unionized, unsackable cleaners who don’t clean properly; by harassed overstretched hospital staff who don’t bother washing their hands as often as they should. So 600 people have been killed by the filthy squalor of disease-ridden government hospitals. That’s the official number. Unofficially, if you’re over 65, the hospitals will save face and attribute your death at their hands to “old age” or some such and then “lose” the relevant medical records. Quebec’s health system is a lot less healthy than, for example, Iraq’s.

As I said above—“AMF” —in two senses!
