  1. I’m with Szasz (Myth of Mental Illness)-- that to be a disease there must be a definitive lab test, X-ray or whatever.  And it must say either You Got It or You Don’t Got It.

This plethora a DISEASES—does it remind you of liberals running the government?  You don’t like it, you don’t want it, but IT’S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!confused gun

    Be afraid, be very afraid.

  2. Which then begs the question:  “with everything under the sun now considered a disease, at what point will “BEING NORMAL” also be considered a disease since there will be so few people exhibiting those characteristics?”

Well, never if you put it like that. First you have to think of a catchy name, like Acquired Syndrome Deficiency Syndrome (ASDS). Then you have to pick a color for your ribbons and start hitting up celebrities…

  3. My fellow-Social Worker friend had a cartoon of a large meeting hall with maybe 300 seats.  There were 2 people in the room. A banner banner proclaimed the name of the convention:  CHILDREN OF NORMAL PARENTS
