Discrimination In Michigan

  1. I’d vote for it. I think it’s high time we got past preferences ... of any kind. Two full generations is more than enough.

A bit more than 43 years ago Dr. King said “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

Those kids are probably grandparents by now. Isn’t it time for that dream to come true?

  2. You know why this is finally on the ballot in MI don’t you - that is where the first lawsuit challanging affirmative action was won? But alas, like every tax and ‘law’ in the US now - the people have to revolt and force a change on the politicos who are busy stuffing their pockets and not admitting how absolutely insane a tax instituted during a depression, a social ‘security’ system also instituted during a depression and a special break instituted after REPUBLICANS forced through Civil Rights legislation - are now dead, mute points and must be reconsidered to take America back to being the great becon of opportunity and hope that it use to be.

Drew - waaaaaaaaaaay too many people no longer want the content of their character to be a defining trait anymore - it destroys the victim and entitlement status that so many people cling to and aspire to in America.

  3. Precisely, Wardmama!

Every blank check open to so-called “victims” at taxpayer expense is one check too many, and how many of them are there already?  With no end to such handouts (and block vote buys) even postulated, let alone in sight?

But if you think this is a can of worms, just wait until enough fishnoodles fall for that “reparations for slavery” shit that a bunch of shysters and entitlement freaks are pushing at this very moment.

    Grrr!

    cool grin

  4. All the bullshit reverse discrimination which goes on in Meecheegan is only one reason why I no longer live in that state. I would not just vote ”YES” on this proposal, but HELL YES!

  5. I don’t know why they even bother to vote for this issue.  If it passes, the Libs race to the nearest courthouse to have a pet judge delay, delay, delay until their accomplices in the capital rewrite the laws to nullify the decision of the people.  Just like they always have.

  6. An excellent contribution, Peiper, especially that part about a former joke that became serious business.

In time, however, Marxism-Leninism will die of indigestion in American classrooms, just as it has done practically everyplace else.

Of course, a little encouragement from the citizenry would not hurt.

    wink
