  1. I had a grocery store that demanded a 10 digit PIN.  I used my default 4-digit PIN, repeated 2.5 times.
I found out later that the store expected you’d use your phone # plus ZIP.

  2. Saying “ PIN Number” is redundant.  It’s like saying “Personal Identification Number Number”
Even though everyone does it it’s still wrong and drives me nominally crazy. rasberry

  3. OT but I need some assistance. When I come to this and other bolg and websites that require log-in, it used to be no problem. I set the automatic log-in and when I opened up the page, there I am all logged in. But now, after installing Computer Associates Security Suite, noplace retains the auto log-in.

I have set the cookies block to medium in both Windows XP and CA. I have even turned off the firewalls, but to no avail. Any suggestions? Hardly a big issuein life, but annoying.

    Thanks.

  4. I use a 12 digit number/letter combo for high security places, another for medium security, and a 7 or 8 character alpha numerical for places that don’t worry me too much.
Oh, and I use Firefox. I have no problems with CA forgetting things for me.
