   I loved Rowan & Martin’s ‘Laugh In’ when I was a kid. His partner Dan Rowan died in ‘87.

2. Truly the end of a incredibly funny era.  “Laugh In” was something very different, untried, very successful and alway, always funny.

   I remember seeing them on various other shows and didn’t think they were all that funny.  Then I saw them do “Richard Burton and the Drunk”, which among other things featured the introduction of Martin as “Parquard P. Parkenfarker” and getting his tongue stuck in a beer bottle.  I remember laughing so hard I hurt.

   Frankly, there has been nothing on television nearly as funny - at least as a series - since them.
