  3. via Michelle Malkin -

A few weeks after his so-called “capture” in late June 2009, three conflicting accounts had surfaced: U.S. officials told the Associated Press Bergdahl had “walked off” the base with three Afghans. . .’

So were the AP and MM wrong in 2009 or was Obama et al lying in 2014.

Given that the AP and Ms Malkin were not proven wrong in 2009, given that his unit supports the claims with (hearsay) quotes from and about Bergdahl himself.

I’m going to go with Obama et al in 2014 as the wrong boneheaded liars.

Thumbs up for the Army - ‘bout time.

  4. Just some FYI - Eddie Slovik was the last soldier executed for desertion (1945).

John Bennett was the last soldier executed (for murder, 1961).

And 5 - Ronald Gray, Dwight Loving, Hasan Akbar, Andrew Witt, Timothy Hennis and Nidal Hasan are sitting on military death row waiting for execution (lethal injection).

Also Timothy McVeigh was executed a mere 6 years after his crime.

We should be so lucky if any of these 5 or Bergdahl (if convicted) would face the same swiftness of carrying out the sentence. Since two of the 5 have been on death row since before McVeigh’s crime - I doubt I’ll live long enough to see them executed, most especially the left’s darling - Bergdahl.

    Especially in this anti-military climate.

  5. As I recall McVeigh fired his attorneys and accepted the verdict.

  6. I’m wondering, could this be a preemptive strike to heat up the public on the issue and force Obama’s hand?
