  1. Skipper I feel your pain. My daughter called me last night and asked me to pull up a weather map - finally told me that they had no power. I will call her in a couple to see if they are ok. We were suppose to get something like it - didn’t happen.

I thought that my younger daughter was stopping there (STL) - but alas they are almost in KC - guess because of the weather they just pushed on through.

Right now here it has gone from that life draining sun to looking like nightfall - guess we are going to get it today.

At least with the rain - we will get more veggies out of the garden - corn, carrots, cucumbers, peppers, onions and sweet taters are going great.

  2. Ya know, Skipper, I got into the second paragraph of your mini-essay and was instantly reminded of that great Snoopy cartoon frame showing the little hound typing away on the roof of the dog house, “It was a dark and stormy night...” Glad all’s well for you.

  6. Round here it got cool tonight. Still humid though. A few days back we had thunderstorms in the mountains. Thanks to a fire in a place called Pine Valley the thunderstorms got large enough to send an expedition west to the coast.

And there’s still more wet to come.
