She caught the Katie, left me a mule to ride....
Gee, and I thought I was working with my project. I think I’ll stay with painting and hedge trimming.
Damn ... there is the tiniest bug inside my monitor, crawling hither and yon.
This is the second time I’ve seen that problem. The first time, when I reported it to Dell some years ago, they sent a guy out and replaced the monitor.
Now this one has it. Talk about having a bug in the system.
Having a Grace Hopper moment, eh?
(Rear Admiral Grace Murray Hopper (December 9, 1906 – January 1, 1992) was an American computer scientist and United States Navy officer. She was one of the first programmers, and is credited with the invention of the early COBOL language. During her time with the US Navy during WWII, when computers were massive rooms full of tubes and wires, she coined the terms “debugging” and “bug” related to computers, because in those days the heat and light from the glowing vacuum tubes would attract insects, which would get toasted on the tubes and short out the wires. The moth that was responsible for the term is on display in the Smithsonian.)
