Good summary - almost. The liberals are certainly destructively negative, but I’m not sure that the conservative side is made of airtight enclaves. What the Republicans need is some one centrist enough to appeal to the center (and liberals who actually do want viable solutions) while not polarizing the more conservatively oriented. I see it more as a lack of cohesive leadership rather than anything else. Cane we all get along?
I don’t see it as either - I see it as the RNC thinking it needs to run a Demlite or RHINO to win - and the media pushing the ‘divide’ and single issue talking points to mess up the election - since the Dems can’t win on ideas, solutions, the truth or issues. What better way to win - Divide and Conquer.
Someone from the ‘second tier’ would cover the bases - much better than G, R, or M - ever would and probably would be more palatable and more akin to the ‘base’ than anyone else.
But no - since everyone is busy convincing everyone else that the Hildabeast is the DNC candidate to beat - that is what they are aiming for - Demlite or RHINO. Like education and healthcare - the Dems are dumbing down the electorial process - until everyone says (like my neighbors) what is point - they are all the same. It is a waste of time.
And the Dems elect the Goddess of the World - and America is sc*****.
I don’t get the last three - comeon Conservatives and Republicans - we do not have to slither into the gutter with the Dems. We should be above that - at least America should.
I wonder; are the progressive beliefs listed there given by actual progressives, or are they what conservatives think progressives think? I hope they are the former, but they seem to be worded in the latter way.
Jihad Watch has some things to consider.
