  2. I liked mine. Thanks for not doing the insipid ‘Happy Holidays’ thing! (Still trying to save it to disc. My usual methods don’t work. I’ll get it, somehow.)

But Drew, I’ll not be sending you an e-card. I’m going ‘green’. I’m sending a ‘green’ contribution to BMEWS. Not a big contribution, but I daresay anything helps.

It’ll be in the mail Monday. Ideally, you should get it before Christmas.

To all other BMEWS fans, admins, commentators, trolls, etc, go ‘green’. Donate to BMEWS. Feed Drew.

And everybody have a Merry Christmas!

  3. I liked mine and Chris - I’d go green but money is tight right now. When one of us gets employed feeding Drew is top of the list (gotten a bit soured on some of our old standby charities as they have seemed to sell out as in go along to get along - not my idea of having a commitment to a cause).

I wish everyone here a very Merry Christmas and the very best in the New Year (2011 already, wow).

  5. back at ya Drew and thanks .... and whoops. You might get a snail mail card AFTER Christmas cos it’s highly doubtful we will be able to get out tomorrow or the next day according to the forecasts.

ah .. well .... the other reason is that I forgot to mail the card my wife picked out, handed to me and said let’s send this to Drew. That was last week on the one day we got to a p.o.
planning ya see. it’s all in the planning ...

  7. Yes, I have some actual physical cards to send out as well. Must get to the Post tomorrow. Some will be late, that’s life. Lucky us that we’ve caught a break with the weather. So far, keeping my fingers crossed.

  8. Of course the house jester has an email box issue and did not recieve one but Drew “Splained It” so its all good.
In other good news,I can now send Drew all those annoying links Ive been tossing around comment boxes like plasma grenades. No more cluttering up your yack space unless its so dang funny or urgent that I can’t help myself.Note to self;NO More coffee after 5pm.
Anyway, smoke em if you got em, drink it if its free, and have a damn fine holiday day all.
    peace
So what to do with a slow week at BMEWS?
Oh, I know, That library thing down the road has some weird leafy paper gizmos that you can take home and read by your leisure.I think I’ll go see how that works.

I’ve heard of those. I’m told they’re called ‘books’. I might look into those myself.

  11. You want books - I got books - 10 boxes in my garage and 47 (yes that is 47) out in the storage unit I have not gotten into yet and that does not count the 1100 plus (the plus being our daughter’s boxed up ones ready to move out - move out being the operative words) that are in our library.

I love books - this (my Grandparents, Parents and it appears my Sisters text books) is just overkill. Will weed through and then my cousin & I must decide what to do with the rest.

Don’t get too excited some jackass riffling through my Moms storage unit - left the top boxes open - so there is condensation damage to some and some went through the ‘flood’ in her garage just before she moved them to the storage unit. Add to it the age of some of the books and well - it isn’t the wonderful haul I was expecting.

And what can I do with 30+ year old textbooks? Whoever is going to want to buy those? The 70+ year old stuff of my parents - well historical and worth it, the 100 year old of my Grandfather (luckily we brought those home before they became part of this estate mess) - Medical reference books - now that is worth keeping.

I love the library - right now - too busy going through all this I have to do much of anything like that.
