Christmas Comes Early
PS - No, I’m not being snobby with the “so and so built this for me and I had it customized with blah-blah”. That’s how the audiophile world is. Yes, you can get stuff off the rack, pret-a-porter. But once you’ve decided on actually buying a certain product, you can usually call up the guy who owns the company, chat with him, describe your system and what you want from his gear, and he’ll suggest some little minor change in the build, then make it for you. All this gear is made by hand in America by Americans, one piece at a time. They all call you back a few times during the first year of ownership, just to see how you like their stuff. And when you run into them at an audio show, they’ll recognize your name and try their darnedest to send you home with a $28,000 bit of kit to listen to, just for fun. Based on a handshake. Because they know you. Is that not awesome, or what?

Glad I don’t have your electricity bill with those Class A amps sucking the juice! Sit back and enjoy Drew and have a great Christmas.
They have an A/B switch which saves a lot of juice. Class A mode sucks the power, but it gives endless headroom.
I put on Santana’s Supernatural as a burn-in disc and set it to endless repeat. All night long, and it will keep going over the weekend. There is some thunderous deep bass on a couple of the tracks. Real rippers that will flab out your woofers if your system doesn’t have major control. On this rig, so far they just sound deep. Awesome! I was playing it loud enough last night that bass hits were felt more than heard, and they were still tight.
Mwahahahahaa!
This bit of gear may not need the typical 100+ hours of seasoning. It started sounding fantastic within a few hours.
