  1. What fun as this is just coming at us - I’m east of the Skipper. It is drizzly here but actually a bit more balmy than it was last week. I brought everything I could in - one of these days I might get down to the garden to see if anything is left. I just can’t imagine Buffalo - without power still and snow. Man, I think we need to figure out how to put a wood burning stove or a fireplace in here. I can’t imagine what we would do.

Skipper are you looking forward to the Tigers vs the Cardinals? Can’t believe Detroit actually pulled it out - Sports Center tongue and cheeked that the Tigers helped the Lions finally pull out a win!

I hate baseball but with my two oldest children Cardinals fans and my hubby from Detroit, I sort of picked up on this race. Should be interesting.

  5. To hell with so-called experts!  For every expert, there is an equal and opposite expert.

Quite apart from that, experts are usually the last ones to recognize departures in their own disciplines.  They have a vested interest in things remaining as they learned them, for if things change, they are no longer experts!

Thus they tend to be recalcitrant, reactionary, and, on the whole, unreliable.  Unless, of course, things in their disciplines happen to be standing stock still.

    wink

  6. Meanwhile Buffalo, NY is still digging out from about two feet of “glowball warming"…
