With you moving and the hassles you have had over the lst 2 months, a slip in decorum is understandable. Being 50+ years old and NOT understanding this is childish.
Vilmar, if you read this ... if you do not want to blog ... okay, we’ll all have to accept that. But, as one human to another, you should NOT treat a friend like that.
But damn it man, we’re adults here. So, I will express my desire to have you git your scrawny Portagee ass back here and continue your anti-moonbat crusade.
I do believe I speak for everybody here.
Besides that you old fart ... why make Allan have to change everything? I have grown accustomed to seei’ yer mug over there on the right and your opinions as well.

First, thank you, Allan, for the plug on our new blog. We hope to turn it into something good, but we’re in no big hurry (being bohemians and all). And Barb and Stink and whoever else drops by: Thank you, too.
That said, I am now in a serious bummer regarding Vilmar. You guys are our inspiration in this whole blogging affair, and we’ve watched BMEWS evolve from relative obscurity to having more than a fair amount of reknown. That happened because of the hard work BOTH of you do, each in your own way. I hope you guys can work things out; I really do. With one of you missing it will be like Bush without Cheney, fish without chips, Gloria Estefan without the Miami Sound Machine, Abbott without Costello, Penn without Teller, Bonnie without Clyde.....and, dare I say it, the Captain without

Hey Guy- to answer a question you asked a few days ago- I don’t have any of my Galapagos pictures online- they are all stored on my laptop which is not currently online.........You should have my e-mail address & if you would send me your snail mail address I might consider sending you a CD/DVD of my pictures...........This weekend I will be presenting a slideshow of my pictures at my local Wild Bird Center store & I have a presentation to do in June at a women’s group here in St.L.........No monies yet for these presentations but, hopefully, my reputation as a photographer will be slowly expanding in the area.........

It is still the one I read every day, the only one.

I was the one who for weeks visited your site in the early hours of the a.m., obtaining the knowledge of your judicial system and political arena, to be able to argue specific points with INC. This bums me out.
Yeah, I sent my own letter to Vilmar asking him to reconsider.
As i pointed out to him, when you get two strong, intelligent and hard-headed personalities in a small space there is going to be some head-butting.
Maybe Vilmar did somthing he should not have.
Maybe Allan reacted more harshly than was needful. Looks like feeling were hurt and pride was stung all around.The First World War was started through a chain of stupid events that would have been comical if the results had not been so horrific. Time to stop, breathe deep, and consider the consequenses of irrevocable actions.

Hey guys…
I am the newbie on the block, having only discovered the blogging world in recent months. This site is now the first thing I look at every morning. Vilmar’s insights and wit, combined almost perfectly with Allan’s strong but sensitive postings. The match is a rare one. I am saddened over this misunderstanding, and truly hope wounds will heal quickly and this foolishness will end shortly. Vilmar, meu amigo, volta para casa! Abraco’s!P.S. - ENOUGH OF THIS SACANAGEM!

Allan- it seems to me that you & Vilmar should be able to work out your problems.........Remember a few weeks back you attacked me & I stayed off for awhile..............But I love this blog - I check in daily as it is one of the best blogs in the blogosphere............My advice to you is to reach out to Vilmar and resolve your problems............Vilmar is a super type person and I have always enjoyed his posts..........Please reach out to him & try to bring him back........In the meantime I hope you are getting settled in St.L.......I am going to send you my e-mail address as I hope we can meet soon...............I am a St. Louisan now, having been here for 20+ years - it would be cool to meet someone I’ve been “involved” with over the blogosphere..........

DOTTIE: why is it that everyone remembers what I did to them but conveniently forgets what they said or did to cause me to strike back? If you remember, you attacked me verbally over the “cat” issue. I refuse to lay down and take a beating from anyone.
The situation with Vilmar is quite different but has a striking similarity .. I didn’t start it then either.
I did everything I could to reach out to Vilmar. I e-mailed him several times begging him to reconsider. Don’t fault me for this. My response was merely in line with the events that caused me to have to respond.
There was no intention on my part to hurt Vilmar. I did what I thought was best under the circumstances.
That’s all I have to say about it.
I would like to meet you some day here in St. Louis just to talk and get to know you.

On a happier note-maybe some of us midwesterners can throw you a house-warming party once you get settled.

Reminds me of the fact that once a year my roommate and I decide to beat each other up. No fists or anything (don’t want to hurt him and same). We always called it our annual stress relief.

Like Tacberry, I had to be absent for several days, and news like this was hardly what I expected to discover upon my return.
I can only hope that this will all blow over and work out for the best.

It is just a shame that a great team is not together.
I am now on the lookout here in St. Louis for a big red SUV with ‘Bama license plates and cat footprints all over it...............Allan, you don’t have to worry about my 2 cats crawling on your SUV- they are too fat to climb up on it.........
