  1. I wonder if the real Trojan Horse is Homeland Security busily screening passengers who share common names with a terrorist named “Roger Johnson”—suspicious 8 y/o boys and retired rabbis. Meanwhile, 4+ years after 9-11 the U.S. can’t respond in a coordinated manner, with days of warning, to a hurricane.

We needed a lawyer to deal with simple appointment scheduling at DHS for my suspicious looking Thai daughter-in-law.

I still don’t see the big deal on this one.  Maybe it’s a plot to distract us while someone sneaks a nuke in.

  3. This has worldwide repercussions. The company involved are trying to buy out P&O who run ferries into Dover, the busiest freight/passenger port in the world. The local politicians are foaming at the mouth because it’s holding up the sale. Personally I am not enamoured with the idea of tin pot arab johnnies owning a major ferry operator, and several large US ports. There may be nothing in it but just the same I don’t like it. However what’s the alternative? Sell them to the Japanese? If it was such a bargain I expect they would have already stumped up the cash.
