  1. This happened 20 miles from where I live. Absolutely terrible. The only good thing has been the reaction of the emergency services, hospitals and ordinary folk. The first on the scene were neighbors from the vicinity with blankets and axes to cut into the carriages. A request went out for blood donors and two hours later the message was, we don’t need any more to come as we have plenty of volunteers waiting to donate.

At the moment the death count is 80 with 35 in critical condition.

  2. Dispatch: please tell Obama and Gov. Brown we need more high-speed rail.

    Sincerely,

    your friendly neighborhood zombies.

  3. They should be building a gallows to publicly hang the driver.  Fucking homicidal idiots like him need to be eliminated.

  4. State owned rail - who can the survivors and family of dead sue - or does Spain even allow things like that. Turned on BBC World to see about the New Prince - and all they were talking about was the Spanish train crash. I guess that the train driver isn’t going to be laughing about being ‘only human’ anymore.

  5. Those kind of speeds on regular rails seems rather sketchy to frankly. It looks rather obvious the grading angle was not engineered for that kind of speed.

  6. The latest deadcount has been revised down to 78. Too many loose bodyparts which made them think there were more than there were....
