  1. Now if we can combine this with a requirement to show valid photo ID to vote we can do away with a large number of the Democrat votes.  Of course, it’s for that reason that the Dems will fight it.

  2. The Demokkkrat party, brought to you by “green card industries” and local motor-voter legislation. Vote early, vote often. Remain politically active, even after death…

I can remember when I lived in the Peoples’ Republik of Kalifornicatia back in 1971, I went to the local DMV im Monterey, and the 20 question multiple-guess “test” was in English on one side, and Spanish on the other side of the sheet. I suppose now it has to include Farsi, Pashtun, Urdu, Laotian, Serbo-Croat, Klingonese, etc etc etc.

Apparently one has to prove their identnty, only if they “look American"…

  3. I recently went through this at the Ohio BMV. They’ve always been sticklers for the primary identification; U.S. birth certificate, Naturalization papers, passport, green card, military ID, etc. are the primary documents and that’s all they’re accepting. Social security card won’t cut it. They may be a little looser in the tiny towns, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

The only problem I had was spending two days looking for my naturalization papers. Damn if they didn’t turn out to be in the safe place I had left them after the last time I used ‘em. LOL  red face

The young lady I presented this precious document to had apparently never seen anything of the like, or maybe it was the forty year old picture adorning the document. Anyway, after I explained what it was and she went into the back to get confirmation and instructions everything went well. After all the license business was over she asked if I wanted to register to vote and asked me if I was a citizen of the U.S. rolleyes  LOL Oh well, at least she had a low neckline with a view. boobies

Right on, Elliott and RP. Proof of citizenship and residency when registering. Picture ID when voting. No exceptions! Fuck these voting tour buses “If it’s 3:30 I must be in Milwaukee” type of thing. Yes, it’s been done as recently as the last election.

I’ve got very few problems with the TV surveillance, BobF. I did at first but considering that when you’re out in public any law enforcement type has the privilege of watching you and me or following us if we raise his suspicions for any reason, I’m sort of getting used to the idea. I can think of a few cases that have been solved by the use of private CCTV security systems. One that comes immediately to mind was a young girl in Florida who was kidnapped and murdered. The perp was identified from reviewing the security cam tape from a car wash. Positive ID and the scum is now behind bars. I can live with that.

  4. The proof of “who you are” is being established with the Missouri DMV also.......used to be all we needed was the previous year’s personal property tax receipt, proof of insurance & the renewal form............
Surveillance is everywhere - there’s no getting around it........My hospital now has monitors everywhere - we have one in the ER that shows the front entrance & the corridors.
Once we move into our new ER this month our outside doors, one for foot traffic & one for ambulance traffic, will be monitored & locked at 8:30 each evening..............Our inside door leading from the ER to the rest of the hospital will be the same, as it is now leading to the med-surg floors & the Ambulatory Surgery area...........We all have badges to swipe to get through the areas that are locked after 8:30pm.........Even the employee outside smoking area is monitored 24/7...............There is one in the cafeteria over the cash register & it proved effective when a cafe employee was seen lifting & pocketing cash from the register - he, of course, is no longer with us...........I guess the monitoring has it good points.......
