another deliberate misdirection
It took me less than 3 minutes to find out what the federal and Tennessee gun laws are. And I’m just a blogger. No excuses whatsoever for professional journalists and police spokesmen.
Personally, if I were the cops I’d be taking a really close look at the wife. Like, did she know the person who sold Sahel the gun? Because that would just too sweet wouldn’t it?

But let’s not play politics with it, and let’s not bend the truth. Report the facts. And know the law (especially if you are a police officer)
But Drew everyone (State Media, LEOs, politicos) are all on The One’s (tm) side - and want to take every single gun (except the stockpiles they hide all around for when the real s*** goes down and of course, their own) away from every single law abiding Constitutionally grounded citizen - while also letting every single gang banger, gun runner, drug dealer and thug who uses a gun - get off with a plea bargin, the ‘abuse’ excuse and of course their version of correcting ancient history of racial injustice by committing racial injustice.
I lost all concern with this pos story when I found out that he was married and with a chippy - who cares who killed who in this situation - he took a talent that was aided and abetted by the race baiters into a career with a great financial outcome and threw it all away and ended up dead - because he is nothing but a hound dog.
I find it sad that the gun ban crowd will use this - but it does not seem to be working quite as well as all the other crappola that The One (tm) is pushing - in fact the numbers are going the whole other way - go figure.
However, the irony in this situation is that his wife and kids will probably be able to make it through - on his dime, his fame and of course the sordidness of his death.

You are absolutely correct. As a former police officer, the moment the serial number on the gun is entered, all that info pops up in seconds. This reporter wants to mislead readers so that they can slowly persuade public opinion that all guns are evil. I wonder if the reporter should also state that he is unsure that McNair is dead yet and they will need to do an extensive autopsy that could take weeks to determine if McNair is still alive or not. Keep it up jerks...newspapers are slowly going the way of the dinosaur. I find it incredible that I can get way better coverage, quicker, more accurate, and unbiased from regular everyday blogs by people doing this for very little or no money instead of these clowns that are paid the bigbucks. All that money and they can’t report with any degree of accuracy the sunrising in the east for gosh sake.
Guess what! Could this be an “honor” killing?
