2. There’s a rule in law, I forget what it’s called, that says: Your liability for a harmful act is not lessened by the fact that your victim has insurance.  Or is rich, I suppose. And so it should be.

   Also typical of the law—it took 14 years for the thing to be resolved.

6. Old Man Heinz, who started the company, was a helluva guy.  There never were 57 varieties of Heinz productes—he just thought the number sounded cool.   

   I’ll never face the problem, but passing along a huge fortune to your kids and grandkids is like poisoning them. (not that poverty is great) I think of the Revlon heir who specialized in drugging and raping young women; he fled to Mexico during his trial and was apprehended by a bounty hunter you may remember.

   Give them a first-class education, then give all the money away.
