  2. Best + West + “raine” sounds almost like Best Western. Well done.

  3. I suspect this is a direct result of the EU trying to empire build while depending on russia for the gas, (while using windmills for power sheesh who thought that up?) as Putins Russia is more democratic than the EU (ask those in somerset that the EU decided to flood out to create biodiversity) and he looks after his people better then this is a manufactured crisis for personal gain and not by Putin.

  4. Drew ... Chris is on the money here.  If you live in this part of the world, you really do get to hear things and arguments on a different level.  I think like lots of Americans are prone to do, that Putin or anyone else in power is always a red. I think my generation grew up always just naturally doubting anything any Russian said.  They are the bad guys. Always.  I may be putting it badly, but I have heard interviews from various sides on this issue, and I wish I had a way to record an analysis I heard last night.  It might not change the mind of anyone who is skeptical where Putin and Russia are concerned, but there really is an honest and a serious concern Russian leadership has with things that take place in their immediate neighborhood. I really do not know if those worries and concerns are misplaced, but what I heard last night left no doubt that Putin’s government really does see the recent revolt in the Ukraine, as something inspired by the west and especially by the EU and Obama. They Also believe that if it’s okay for the ppl in Kiev to oust an elected president because he turned his back on an EU deal, (inspired by the Russians perhaps?) then it should work the same way in the newest situation where ppl in another part of the country want to rejoin Russia and voted so in a referendum. Naturally, the press in the West who are anti Putin will claim it was not an honest or open vote at all and Putin personally with AK47 in hand, stood behind all the voters.
I’m beginning to think that Putin has become the newest bogey man to frighten children with.
