  1. Obviously, glow-bull warming is to blame. Without glow-bull warming, there would be no snow and ice in GA and NC, hence no snow-plow-drivin’ doofus would have FUBAR’ed the fiber-optic lines.

Blame Algore, it’s all his fault, after all, he DID invent the internet. Just go ask him…

  2. "managed to plow through the main fiber line going South to Florida”

I thought that was what this great internet thingy was all about - you weren’t going to be able to cut communications anymore, as they would re-rout all the way across the globe to get the message where it goes.....

  3. On the midnight shift last night, I tried repeatedly to get here and Misha’s but wrongly concluded that the evil LAN man had blocked the sites.  Good to know it was only one of my fellow Georgia doofuses red face and I can still get to two of my favorite sites from work.  grin

  4. I was glad to see the hosting matter status page say that they were down, at first I thought perhaps you had made CAIR mad.. or somebody at HM had.. and they managed to get a plug pulled.. what awful weather to have to be working on repairing a cable too..

  5. according to hosting matters the problem was that the fiber went to level 3 so that the routing notifications were cut off too.. so servers had no way to route around the problem to hostingmatters.. and a few other hosts as well Im sure.. seems this was a big carrier bundle cut…
