1. just seen this. I wont pass judgement on the shooter till more facts emerge but if it turns out to be another Major Hassan case then no doubt it will be just another “nothing to see here folks”

2. I seem to remember reading something in the last 4 weeks where Al-Zawahiri was asking Al-Queda operatives within the USA to take individual or small-cell action in the upcoming short-term… Wish I could remember WHERE I read that.

   If Bureau hasn’t issued its standard knee-jerk “Not terrorism related” statement, there might be something to the above.

   48 hour, maybe even 96 hour rule.  Keep an eye on this.

3. Ah, never mind, Bureau’s letting the new flunkies on the block (DHS) issue that statement:

   Daily Caller:  DHS internal report: Navy Yard shooting has ‘no known connection to terrorism’

   And we can all respect their professionalism and accuracy.  *rolling eyes*

4. To top it off, Obama has already made a speech saying the Navy Yard shootings underscore the need for gun control.  Diane Feinstein has also issued a pro gun control statement.

5. Caught a headline today - of course it is absolutely worthless Yahoo but it is an example of how the Pop Culture crowd sees the ‘news’ - The Navy Yard shooting brings up painful reminders for Newtown families.

   Only the US ‘media’ could jump so fast to start pounding out the agenda of the minute within seconds of people being murdered - and right now - we have no real clue as to why.

   Perfectly set up after the Syria debacle and just as Congress goes in to vote to defund O’care or shut down the government. How damn convenient.

   Color me cynical.
