Its the same kind of nonsense pretty much anywhere these days.I got family in eastern Washington who live in fairly open range land where coyotes are a problem yet state and federal law says you can’t shoot or in anyway harm these flea bitten range rodents. So of course they have to call state or federal game commissions to try to get them to send wardens to fix the problem, which they refuse to do because Gaia.
So anyway, the solution for them is is Drew’s second option ,based on the “ I have no idea how that bullet ended up in the poor furry coyotes brain officer, I just found it on the road here next to the highway”.
I have friends who own a ranch in northern Wyoming, not too far from Yellowstone. Their problem is wolves that were re-introduced to the park several years ago. The wolves have no natural enemies there, and hunting is of course forbidden, so now the wolves are decimating the deer and elk in the park, and expanding past its boundaries onto the surrounding ranches, where they kill livestock.
The ranchers’ solution is “The Three S’s” - shoot, shovel, and shut up.
The last time I saw a brick of 22 LR hollow point ammo for sale was at a gun show where a guy with a hand cart was grinning while charging $80 a brick.
Alternate: 22 Caliber piston driven air rifle (nice and quiet too)
We use a havahart trap for our most noxious vermin (the groundhogs) and then drown them in a garbage can full of h2o. Throw the carcass out into the wild land behind our place - even thought of mounting the skulls down at ground level.
Yes let’s shut down livelihoods (and Army training) for insects, vermin and rodents - but let’s not protect the last remaining wild horses from transport to slaughter nor allow people to protect their gardens, farms or very lives from wild animals.
And too many people remain silent while the Federal Government runs amok and takes away right after right from what use to be free people.
I would suggest .22 magnum rounds. Properly applied, they combine humane killing and clean evisceration in one round!
Wardmama - I got a chuckle out of your Havahart trap story! A friend of mine does the same thing, and calls his trap “Old Havabath”.
Yep, S3 is the answer. WTF is happening to our country folk?
