Remembering what American hostages (and the British embasst employees are certainly nothing else but hostages to try to ensure quiet from the UK gov’t) went through during the last bout of Iranian insanity, I am very sorry for them.

David “banana” Miliband is a complete and utter twerp. Though the previous incumbent of the Foreign Office Margaret Becket was no better. The British government is bereft of talent and well past it’s sell by date. After humiliating the Royal Navy the Iranians think they can act with impunity and given the wankers who run Britain now they pretty much can. Though to be honest I don’t really know why we even maintain an embassy in Iran. I doubt the trade with the scumbags amounts to much. Our biggest import from Iran are economic migrants looking for a life on welfare. I doubt they buy anything from us. It strikes me that Britain has become the whipping boy for these dirtbags now that “The One” has gone down the road of appeasement. The mullahs are loathe to attack the Great Satan so they take it out on the UK the Great Satan surrogate.
People die every day under the excellent healthcare system in britian every day from neglect, so why should diplomats be any different to the folks in charge ?
