Jersey Deer Taking Over Staten Island

Buck’s Hollow, in Staten Island’s Greenbelt, might sound like a natural home to whitetail deer, but the New York City parks department is doing its best to keep them out. [ and failing, of course ]

The department, which is restoring the forest in the area, has surrounded six acres with eight-foot fencing intended to keep the deer away. In the past year, workers removed invasive species like Japanese honeysuckle and Chinese wisteria from the parcels. Next year, the department will enlist volunteers to plant 8,000 trees and shrubs — native species like red maple, beech, cherry, sweet gum and spicebush. The plan is to keep the fence around the four plots of land, called exclosures, until the saplings are 10 feet tall or big enough to survive the deer’s voracious appetites.

Deer are a relatively new presence in Buck’s Hollow, which is named after the Dutch word for goat, bok. While the city has a robust population of small mammals like raccoons, groundhogs and skunk, deer were scarcely seen in the five boroughs before 2000.

As recently as 2008, a state count of deer on Staten Island put their numbers at just 24; the animals were believed to have swum from New Jersey. But that number has exploded: An aerial count of the herd last winter, using infrared technology, put the number of deer in the borough at 763.

State Assemblyman Joe Borelli, a Republican whose district includes the Greenbelt, said the department should instead install permanent signs in those locations. And he believes that the city should move to thin the deer population.

“Every option should be looked out at, whether it is successful methods of birth control or lethal culls,” he said. “Something needs to be done, clearly.”

A new task force made up of representatives from several city agencies and the State Department of Environmental Conservation is studying how to control the deer population. At the very least, city officials want to alert the public not to feed them and to be careful on nearby roads, especially at dawn and dusk when deer are most active.

No, what they need is a crossbow hunt, special season. Issue 900 tags, one deer of any age or gender per tag. Wipe them all out, because the next crop is here in Carteret NJ, thinking “That river is only 200 yards wide. We could swim it easy, and get out before the pollution sets our fur on fire.”

TNB: How Dare You Shoot My Child!

Uppity Relatives Incensed That Stranger Shot Their Thuglet

While He Was Robbing Store With Gun To Clerk’s Head

The unmitigated GALL of some people. My word!

TNB, example 829,436

Family Of Adric White, Robbery Suspect, Outraged At Good Samaritan Who Shot Him

The family members of a robbery suspect that held a store employee at gunpoint in Alabama are lashing out at the Good Samaritan who shot him and stopped the robbery.

Adric White, 18, was shot five times after he allegedly tried to hold up a Family Dollar store in Mobile on Nov. 12.

FOX10 spoke exclusively to both the unnamed Good Samaritan and the family members of White. They’re livid that their son was shot while pointing a gun in someone’s face.

“If [the customer’s] life was not in danger, if no one had a gun up to him, if no one pointed a gun at him - what gives him the right to think that it’s okay to just shoot someone?” a relative, who wished to remain anonymous, told FOX10. “You should have just left the store and went wherever you had to go in your car or whatever.”

But when the suspect pulled out a gun at about 5:30 p.m., the Good Samaritan did too.

“He had the gun to his head. He had him on his knees,” said the Good Samaritan, who wished to remain anonymous. “I drew my gun on him and I said ‘Hey don’t move.’ At that point he swung around and before he had a chance to aim the gun at me I fired. I didn’t want to shoot him.”

The man shot White five times. He [White] was taken to USA Medical Center, where he remains in police custody.

White was out of jail on bond after previously robbing The Original Oyster House at gunpoint just a little over a month before he robbed the Family Dollar.

Accomplice Tavoris Moss, 19, was also arrested in the Family Dollar robbery.

...

Police said that the Good Samaritan who opened fire was justified and broke no laws.

Tavoris? We wouldsa named the chile Lavoris, but das a girl’s name, sose we calt him Tavoris. Horry Clap. Tell me he doesn’t have a brother named Tistorene?

I think we should start a fund to get Mr. Samaritan a proper gun. Whatever he had, it wasn’t enough. 5 to the head from point blank range and the thug is still breathing.

But really, how’s that for arrogant, inhumane, callous attitude? “Wazn-choo bout to git shot. Wine-choo jes walks away?”

Diseased. Feral. Animals.

Ask them to pronounce ‘unionized.’

Not as funny, but oh so true ...

The programmer’s wife sends him to the store: Get a loaf of bread and, if they have any eggs, get a dozen.

He returned with 13 loaves of bread.

( I had to correct the source, which said he came home with 12 loaves. Obvious error. ... what, you want me to draw you a flowchart for that?? )

building a desert, step 2

Ferguson protests close malls

Protesters forced three large malls in St. Louis to close their doors on one of the busiest shopping days of the year Friday, as other protests were held nationwide to protest a grand jury’s recent decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson, who shot and killed teenager Michael Brown.

The protests were organized on Twitter and other social media platforms using the hashtags #NotOneDime, #Blacklivesmatter and #Stlblackfriday, MyFox2Now.com reported.

Several stores lowered their security doors or locked entrances as at least 200 protesters sprawled onto the floor while chanting, “Stop shopping and join the movement,” at the Galleria mall in Richmond Heights a few miles south of Ferguson, Missouri, where Officer Darren Wilson fatally shot Brown, who was unarmed, in August.

The action prompted authorities to close the mall for about an hour Friday afternoon, while a similar protest of about 50 people had the same effect at West County Mall in nearby Des Peres. It didn’t appear that any arrests were made. Later Friday, the appearance of several dozen demonstrators led to the early closing of the Chesterfield Mall.

Small business owners told MyFox2Now.com that the protests were hurting them financially on a day they count on to make money.

Cell phone case salesman Abdullah Noman held out as long as he could, telling MyFox2Now.com, “Basically we’re losing a lot of business...I think we’re going to leave in a minute if we stay like that.”

In northern California, more than a dozen people were arrested after about 125 protesters wearing T-shirts that read “Black Lives Matter” interrupted train service from Oakland to San Francisco, with some chaining themselves to trains. Dozens of people in Seattle blocked streets, and police said some protesters also apparently chained doors shut at the nearby Pacific Place shopping center.

In Chicago, about 200 people gathered near the city’s popular Magnificent Mile shopping district, where Kristiana Colon, 28, called Friday “a day of awareness and engagement.” She’s a member of the Let Us Breathe Collective, which has been taking supplies such as gas masks to protesters in Ferguson.

“We want them to think twice before spending that dollar today,” she said of shoppers. ”As long as black lives are put second to materialism, there will be no peace.

1. Meanwhile, dozens of violent Black Friday incidents all across the country, from fights in the underwear department at Walmart to a shooting at Nordstroms, all committed by black people.

2. The media is beyond complicit in all of this. At this point it only stirs the pot to keep mentioning how Brown was a “teenager” and “unarmed”. Now that it’s all over, the WSJ has published the story as they should have on one Day One, telling it as a tale of a robber resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer being killed.

The black teen in Ferguson, Mo., robbed a store, attacked a white police officer and was shot dead while resisting arrest. That was the conclusion of a St. Louis County grand jury that brought no charges against the officer after considering all the physical evidence, along with eyewitness accounts from blacks in the vicinity of the confrontation.

3. Protesting and rioting businesses is at best counterproductive. They aren’t the police. They aren’t the oppressive government. They ARE the people who are going to give your people a job and a chance to step up out of the morass. So shut them down. Make them go away. Build another desert, a business desert. And then blame YT.

Oh G_d, I have had my fill of this garbage. No more.

AT&T and phone problems

I suspect that’s redundant?

Scary.

Got a young tech from ATT here.

Internet works, but no landline phones.

I just showed him around (had to, I’ve rewired the whole house since we bought it in 1990.) and he showed me what he wants to do. I gave him ‘carte blanche’. He’d never heard the phrase. So I retreated to Captain Picard: “Make it so.” He understood that though he’d never heard of Picard. I’m getting so old. The Next Generation is a couple of generations old now!

“Everything was fine until now.” I said.

The tech just looked at me and the wiring mess and opinied: “How did this work at all?”

See, that’s what being a Navy ET does for you. Captain wants underway yesterday. You make it work yesterday. Fix it when we get back into port. Won’t be pretty. Guess I’ve been in port for over two decades and the tech guy is in awe. I made it work! He still can’t figure out how. I can’t either or I wouldn’t have called him.

Of course he ripped everything out, including the stuff in the box outside. Got all new cabling. Set up for what ATT is planning for us in 2020.

Mass insanity!

Shopping. Black Friday. Stupidity. So after spending Thursday giving thanks to God for what we have, now we are shopping with claws unsheathed and teeth bared for what we don’t have. What part of “thou shalt not covet” do we not understand? I’m not participating in the mass insanity. I’ve got too much stuff. Don’t want more ‘stuff’. Takes too much time and energy to care for ‘stuff’. I’m downsizing!

What did surprise me was some of the comments following this article published in the Mail today, that aren’t anti cop and anti American.  Yeah, there were some and we must expect that.

Lots of photos at the link.

( SOME REALLY VERY STUPID ILL INFORMED WHITE FOLKS JOINED BY EVEN DUMBER DARK SKINNED ONES)

More than 1,000 people protested outside the U.S. embassy in London last night, with some holding ‘jail racist cops’ placards, following the decision not to prosecute the American officer who shot dead black teenager Michael Brown.

The demonstration, outside the embassy in Grosvenor Square, central London, saw people condemn the grand jury decision not to indict Darren Wilson for shooting unarmed Mr Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.

While rioting, fighting and chaos has broken out in several U.S. states following the jury’s decision on Monday night, the protest in London passed off peacefully and without trouble.

Police confirmed no arrests were made, despite the crowd being so large that it spilled out of a designated area in Grosvenor Square and lined up against the fence of the embassy.

Many of the protesters held placards which read ‘jail racist cops’ and ‘black lives matter’, while others carried candles.

A minute’s silence was observed to remember people killed by the police around the world, which was followed by a loud chant of ‘killer police off our streets’.

Carole Duggan, aunt of Mark Duggan, and Marcia Rigg, of the Sean Rigg Justice and Change campaign, both spoke at the gathering outside the embassy.

Mark Duggan, a young black man, was shot dead by a police officer in London in August 2011 sparking riots across the city, while Sean Rigg died at Brixton police station in 2008. Marcia Rigg is Sean Rigg’s sister.

Ms Duggan told the crowd: ‘We need to send a message to Mike Brown’s family.

‘We feel the pain, we know the pain, of losing somebody at the hands of the police.

‘That is why we stand in solidarity with the community of Ferguson. I feel they are very strong and brave people.’

She went on: ‘They’ve come to a point in Ferguson where there is no turning back.

‘They have to carry on fighting. They have to see this through.

‘We have to stand behind them because you know what happens there will eventually happen here

Ms Rigg said: ‘Burning and looting - we don’t condone these acts - but I for one and I’m sure people around the world understand the frustration and anger that the people are feeling when our loved ones are murdered on the streets.

‘What else are we supposed to do?’

All we keep getting are lying and corrupt officers murdering our loved ones.’

The London protest was organised by campaign groups Stand Up To Racism and the London Black Revolutionaries.

Filling In The Cracks

Sometimes it takes several news stories to get the whole story

Two with Black Panther connections charged in St. Louis in federal firearms case

ST. LOUIS • Two men have been indicted on weapons charges in federal court here for allegedly making straw purchases of two handguns at the Cabela’s sporting goods store in Hazelwood.

A police source says both men are affiliated with the New Black Panther Party and were taken into custody this morning.

The indictment was handed up Wednesday and unsealed today accusing Brandon Orlando Baldwin and Olajuwon Davis of making false statements to obtain firearms. The defendants’ ages and addresses were not made public.

According to the indictment, between Nov. 1 and 13, Baldwin, also known as Brandon Muhammad, and Olajuwon, also known as Olajuwon Ali and Brother Ali, acquired two Hi-Point .45 ACP pistols at the store, claiming that Baldwin was the buyer when, in fact, the weapons were intended for someone else.

...

Local and federal authorities executed search warrants at two residences, one in the 2500 block of Hampton in the city and the other in the 1500 block of Reale Avenue in north St. Louis County, the source said. The raids yielded information that both men had planned to obtain illegal weapons to do harm to law enforcement and the public.

Right. Two black guys, obviously. With islamic aliases. NBP.  Dollars to donuts, it’s a total no-brainer to say that they’re junior jihadis with Nation Of Islam.

Alleged plot included bombing Gateway Arch, killing St. Louis County prosecutor

ST. LOUIS • Two men indicted last week on federal weapons charges allegedly had plans to bomb the Gateway Arch — and to kill St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch and Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson — the Post-Dispatch has learned.

Sources close to the investigation were uncertain whether the men had the capability to carry out the plans, although the two allegedly did buy what they thought was a pipe bomb in an undercover law enforcement sting.

The men wanted to acquire two more bombs, the sources said, but could not afford to do it until one suspect’s girlfriend’s Electronic Benefit Transfer card was replenished.

An indictment, with no mention of bombs or killings, was returned in federal court here Nov. 19 and unsealed Friday upon the arrest of Brandon Orlando Baldwin and Olajuwon Ali Davis. Their addresses and Baldwin’s age were not available; Davis is 22.

Davis spoke at a New Black Panther rally at Greater St. Mark Family Church in Ferguson last month about the police shooting of Brown, and was identified there as the Missouri chapter’s “minister of law.”

“This is not the first Mike Brown, and it won’t be the last, if we do not unite,” Davis told the crowd then. “Divided, we lose brothers and sisters. If you do not unite, put aside your difference and unite, you can expect no changes in the future. We must change our minds, our systems and ourselves.”

The New Black Panthers has issued a statement calling the allegations regarding bombing and killing “totally unfounded” and “trumped up and baseless.”

The statement also says that the New Black Panthers do “not teach, endorse, or allow its members to commit acts of violence against anyone regardless to the circumstance, unless in imminent danger according to the rules of Self-Defense.”

Plot foiled. Isn’t it time that New Black Panthers and Nation Of Islam were labeled the terrorist groups that they are?

And ... don’t you just love it? The big bad radical schwoogies couldn’t buy more bombs until the girlfriend’s EBT got refilled. ROFLMAO, that’s so perfectly stereotypical. Arrest her as well.

Your Deadline Is December 7th?

How obnoxious! (my old English teacher would be proud. I spelled ‘obnoxious’ correctly without looking it up.)

Medicare. How old do you have to be for Medicare to start bothering you?

I’ve been bothered since my step-father passed away in the early 2000’s. I was only in my forties then, but I started getting Medicare mailings. Also starting getting the anti-American, left-wing AARP mailings. I do encourage AARP to waste money on me.

But I digress.

I received a mailing from something called ‘MediGold’ today. In the context of ObamarrhoidCare and the ‘democracy’ on view in Ferguson, I’d like to parse this mailing…

First my ‘deadline’ is December 7th! A Day That Shall Live In Infamy If I Don’t Sign Up!

Okay, I added that last. But that’s the date on the mailing.

It says ‘pay $0 if you are admitted to the hospital.’ Emphasis on the ‘if.’
By the time you are admitted you will be dead. Your heirs will pay. Whether you were admitted and/or treated.
How much do you pay if you ‘ARE’ admitted?

Pay $0 to go to your family doctor.
You are not allowed to go to your family doctor.

Pay $0 for so many generic drugs!
Except for the generic drugs you actually need!

Get a FREE fitness center membership.
In Iraq. Running from ISIS is excellent cardiovascular exercise.

Other plans available too.
Just check out https://www.healthcare.gov/

Anyway, in honor of Moochelle Obamarrhoid’s ‘healthy school lunch’ law, have a happy tofurkey day. May the Nac Mac Feegles infest her underwear. (wanna bet I get a visit from the Secret Service for that? Crivens!)

Murder By Journalism

A better title for the rewritten article would be “NY Slimes sued for $2 Billion, top editors arrested for reckless endangerment, Howard Kurtz is a pussy”

“Feckless move” says the Fox News Link. “Reckless Move” says the essay title. “Attempted murder with malice aforethought” says anyone with a brain.

NY Times publishes Darren Wilson’s address

OTOH, you knew they were going to do this. If “we” don’t get justice from the mob, “we” get justice from the mob’s masters: the MSM.

The New York Times, whether consciously or not, has just endangered Darren Wilson’s life.

With tensions running high in Ferguson over the lack of an indictment for Wilson’s killing of Michael Brown, the paper has published the officer’s approximate address—the street and town where he lives with his new wife, who also is named.

Given the racial animosity unleashed by Brown’s death, given the rioting and the looting and the stores that were set afire, how can a news organization make it easier for some crazy zealot to track down Wilson?

But there it is in the paper:

“Officer Wilson and [blank] own a home together on [blank] Lane in [blank], Mo., a St. Louis suburb about a half-hour drive from Ferguson.”

I mean, why not add a locator map?

The piece was a seemingly innocuous scooplet about Wilson, who had dropped out of sight before the grand jury decision, getting married.

As Mediaite columnist Joe Concha puts it, “Regardless of your thoughts on Wilson’s guilt or innocence, how can anyone believe providing his street and name of his wife be anything but irresponsible?”

“consciously or not” ... hark unto this bullshit. Anyone who isn’t a card carrying Marxist knows there was no “or not” involved here whatsoever.

It’s more than high time that the MSM was taken to task. First Amendment and all that, but this IS crying fire in a crowded theater. And they damn well know it.

And it is no accident; it is a smug Obama-ism, a douche move to curry favor with their master. And we damn well know it.

Let these bitches burn for it.

Cross Them Off The List

Funny, wasn’t it Spain that fought El Moro for something like 500 years to push the muzzies out of Andalusia? El Cid, the big hero? Wasn’t Spain itself formed by the alliance of good old Ferdinand and Isabella who finally got the job done in 1492?
My how times change. One little bomb in a train station and they caved on the Global War On Terror.

And now, even sports teams are dumping the vestiges of their heritages for money ... money that they don’t even need.

El Cid is now La llorona.

Soccer club Real Madrid removes cross from logo to appease UAE bank

The Spanish soccer giant unveiled the adjusted logo that will adorn a new credit card issued by the National Bank of Abu Dhabi, reported The Algemeiner. The new logo looks exactly like the club’s 83-year-old trademark, except for the absence of a tiny Christian cross that normally sits at the top.

The logo change was agreed to by the world’s wealthiest sports team, valued at nearly $3.5 billion, in order to avoid offending Muslim sensibilities as the team and the bank enter a three-year “strategic alliance,” according to Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez.

“I know that the local people experience every match in a special way and that our links with the UAE are constantly growing stronger,” Perez said recently. “This agreement will help the club to keep conquering the hearts of followers in the United Arab Emirates.”

Noted Spanish soccer website Marca: “from the looks of things, the club is willing to compromise on aspects of its identity in pursuit of these new fans.”

Sad.
