justice denied as pair of ground apes avoid death penalty after killing/rape spree

If ever there were two filthy no account rotten niggers who earned the ‘N’ word, these two black bastards surely fit the bill.

I can’t understand what’s happened to common sense in the judiciary in America, or at least in this one state.

Where’s the Klan when ya need them?  If ever lynching were justified, this’d be it. And not cos they are black. No. But because they are Niggers!

Wish the judges making this outrageous decision falls victim to a crime as bad. I am way beyond upset having read this article, which I was not looking for and wish I had not seen.  And as for their lawyer .... not enough bad can be said about the filthy slime. Sometimes a line should be drawn and the nature of a crime should rule.  This is not a case of who said what or a case of identification problems. It’s so damn clear cut there should be no room for arguments. In fact, there shouldn’t even be a trial.  The perps should hang and their lawyer hung right alongside.

A decision like this could only have come about through years of left wing thinking and instruction and education.  No doubt the bed wetting bleeding heart hand wringers are pleased they missed the DP.  These two evil ape like creatures deserve to die very slowly.  Fat chance of that however.

Here’s what one person commenting at the source for the story had to say.

I took a death penalty seminar in law school and was quite annoyed at the anti-death penalty slant (more like 90-degree cliff) on the part of the professors, who were members of the liberal brigade referred to in these comments. They never succeeded in convincing me that the death penalty should be abolished, even with all their pronouncements about it being about “revenge"-- wrong, it’s about justice. Big difference. Anyway, they’d show us pictures of death row inmates crying on execution day. Go on and on about the cruelty of the injection drugs taking a bit too long. And very, VERY rarely would they mention the victims or what happened to them. Of course, when they did allow it to slip out, it would be something absolutely, positively horrific. The only thing I took away from that class was a disturbing knowledge of the nearly endless sequence of appeals these monsters get.

Brothers who forced five friends to have sex with each other before shooting them in the head and burying them in shallow snow escape death penalty on ‘trial technicality’

Jonathan and Reginald Carr sentenced to death in 2002 for the ‘Wichita Massacre’
Kidnapped three men and two women in home invasion that included rape and sexual humiliation in 2000
All five were shot in the head but one survived
Death sentences now overturned because the men should have been tried separately, court said
Both will now be re-sentenced

By Associated Press Reporter

The Kansas Supreme Court on Friday overturned the death sentences of two brothers convicted of killing four friends who were robbed and forced to engage in sex acts before being shot to death and left in a snow-covered Wichita field.

The court also struck down three of the four capital murder convictions each against Jonathan and Reginald Carr, citing procedural problems at the brothers’ joint trial for its decisions. It upheld one capital murder conviction for each of them.

Prosecutors said the brothers broke into a Wichita home in December 2000 and forced the five people there to have sex with each other and later to withdraw money from ATMs. Two women were raped repeatedly before all five were taken to a soccer field and shot while they were kneeling. Four of them — 29-year-old Aaron Sander, 27-year-old Brad Heyka, 26-year-old Jason Befort and 25-year-old Heather Muller — died.

image

One of the women survived a gunshot wound to the head and she ran naked through the snow to seek help. She became a key witness at the brothers’ trial on the capital murder convictions.

The killings ended a series of crimes that authorities alleged the Carr brothers committed over nine days in December 2000.

The Kansas Supreme Court ruled 6-1 in overturning the Carr brothers’ death sentences because the presiding judge did not hold separate sentencing proceedings for each man.

Heyka’s father, Larry Heyka, also expressed disappointment and said he was struggling to make sense of the rulings, which totaled nearly 480 pages.

‘Hopefully going forward, we will all understand what these rulings really mean,’ said Heyka, who is from Council Grove.

Attorneys for the brothers did not return telephone messages seeking comment.

Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett said he’s not sure whether his office will appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court, but he promised to continue pursuing death sentences.

Jonathan Carr, now 34, and Reginald Carr, 36, were in their early 20s when the crimes occurred.

Together, they were convicted of 93 counts, including rape, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery.

The state Supreme Court upheld a total of 57 convictions against them.

Most of the overturned convictions involved the allegations of forcing their victims to engage in sex acts.

Five other convicted killers remain on death row in Kansas. The state Supreme Court last week overturned the death sentence of Sidney Gleason in the killings of a Great Bend couple in 2004.

Kansas last executed someone in 1965, by hanging. The current capital punishment law was enacted in 1994, but the state’s highest court has yet to approve any death sentences.

USEFUL IDIOTS PROTEST IN LONDON

I’ve taken parts out of the article by Richard Littlejohn, but recommend all of it.

There isn’t anything I can add or want to add. He seems to say it all, and far better than I am able.

There have been demonstrations in London against Israel and Jews in general while in France, there have reports of Jew hunting thugs out for fun, which unfortunately for their victims, they have found. Cars set alight in Paris etc. Like burning cars and beating up people and burning their property will frighten Israel.

So anyway .....

Here’s Littlejohn.

RICHARD LITTLEJOHN: What if Hamas rocket hit a BA plane?

By Richard Littlejohn

Some people seem to think that because Israel has pretty effective air defences, it should absorb the pain and not retaliate.
Israel shelters behind sophisticated technology. Hamas hides behind women and children, in schools, hospitals and mosques.

Yet, as far as its useful idiots in Britain and Europe are concerned, Israel is the only one guilty of ‘war crimes’, no matter how many precautions it takes to avoid innocent deaths.

image
( a few of the useful idiots protesting in London )

Hamas has no regard for human life, on either side. Every death is a propaganda victory, amplified by gullible sympathisers in the Western media.
But there is rarely any condemnation of this cynical campaign of terror, or of its oil-rich sponsors who want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.
The Stop The War crowd are myopically selective in their indignation.
They’ll overlook all manner of atrocities in the Muslim world and in the former Soviet bloc, but become incandescent with fury when Israel exercises its inalienable right to self-defence.
Underlying all this is a nasty streak of anti-semitism, the unholy alliance between the self-styled ‘liberal’ Left and stone-age Muslim headbangers.

indiscriminate anti-Jewish sentiment is rising in Britain.
Security has been stepped up at Jewish schools and synagogues.
A shop in Manchester, for instance, is targeted by pro-Hamas demonstrators every day because it sells some goods made in Israel.

Again, though, this is knee-jerk stuff. There’s no consistency.
Protesters call for a boycott of Israel, but they’re not prepared to throw away their mobile phones, laptops and satellite set-top boxes which would be useless without Israeli technology.
They’re like the ‘anti-globalisation’ crowd, kitted out in Nike trainers, sipping skinny lattes from Starbucks and organising riots on iPhones. The absurd contradictions are lost on them.
Most of this is mindless posturing, unthinking exhibitionism, part of the modern curse of everyone living in their own movie. They all want to be in on the act, complete with fetching intifada scarf as fashion accessory.
I keep wondering if we could ever win a conventional war these days.

You can just imagine the ‘We Are All Hamas Now’ crowd in 1944, marching on Downing Street.
Even as the doodlebugs were raining down on London, they’d be screaming that the D-Day invasion was ‘a disproportionate use of force’, wringing their hands over civilian casualties in Berlin and demanding that Churchill was prosecuted for war crimes.

Yet among the gormless rent-a-mob, there are dangerous people who wish not just Israel but all of us serious harm.
They’re the same hardliners who cheered as the planes hit the Twin Towers, who justified the London Transport bombings and want to impose Sharia law in Britain.

Israel is in the frontline of global jihad, but we’re on the list, too.
It’s all very well to lament that Israel is losing the battle for world opinion.
But Israel is fighting a real war, not a propaganda war, one that it can’t afford to lose.
And what if a rocket fired at Ben Gurion airport had hit a British Airways plane, killing all the passengers on board?
Does anyone seriously believe that Hamas would have genuinely regretted the innocent loss of civilian life, despite the widespread support it receives in Britain?

Of course not. We are all infidels now.

my dark thoughts for the day and a must see video

Don’t know what you’ll make of this.  I don’t find him hard to believe, although judging by some of the response, there are those many who are quite happy to keep denying the evidence.

Tell you the truth .... I’ve come to the point where I am not sure it matters much.  I can not see things getting better unless there’s a very violent, bloody revolution in the USA.  And I do not see that happening.  Even if did, both sides would be losers like two countries nuking each other.
I’m just too damn old to see a bright future because for all my years I’ve been hearing the same bs from our so called leaders. Left/right it makes no difference.
It has come to a point where, as I have shared a number of times, the USA even has foreign based left wing rights groups, operating openly in America. And as Drew pointed out to me in a recent mail, even operating from this side of the Atlantic, one woman was able to generate enough following and work the press and govts. here, to foul up American justice (? we still have that?) system with regard to drug used in the death penalty.  Which is now illegal to export to the USA.

Hey ... bad as things are on the borders re. the USA, be a little thankful you aren’t on this side where things can be even worse, with illegals coming from all parts of the world but specifically sandland and afrika and ..... you name the country.  It’s Europe and more specific, Germany and England and France and the Netherlands they infect. Britain is first choice btw.  You can’t have any idea unless you live here or Europe.  And who rules?  Who do ya think?
The left of course.

But there is some good news this week on the migration front.
There will be 140 fewer of them infesting Italian shores, after 140 were killed in a fight on a packed boat where they were being smuggled into Europe.
So far, five men are accused of killing the 140 of 560 life forms aboard the leaky craft.  Damn. Only 140. But hey, it’s a gift to be celebrated.

Interesting tidbit goes unquestioned

And We Think We Have Too Much Government?

The fighting started with Hamas weaker politically than it has been in a long time. In part, that’s because its main political and financial backers, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and the Assad regime in Syria, are busy fighting for their own survival and are unable to provide assistance.

In its last conflict with Israel in 2012, Hamas, the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, had a close partner in Egypt, which was run by the main Brotherhood group. President Mohammed Morsi, a key Brotherhood leader, brokered the 2012 cease-fire that Kerry and other diplomats are trying to revive.

Today, Egypt, which controls Gaza’s southern border, is run by a military regime that deposed and jailed Morsi and outlawed the Brotherhood on charges that it tried to impose an Islamist dictatorship.

Egypt closed Hamas’ tunnels to the Sinai Peninsula to prevent munitions crossing into Egypt after a series of terrorist attacks against Egyptian soldiers and civilians that Egypt said it traced to Gaza. Hamas used those tunnels to smuggle goods and weapons into Gaza, and to fund its operations though smuggling fees. Egypt has also blocked the flow of cash from countries such as Qatar into Gaza.

Egypt, which has condemned Hamas during the current fighting, has proposed a cease-fire on terms the militant group has rejected because it wants the Sinai closures lifted.

The closures have made it impossible for Hamas to pay its 40,000 government employees and produced “desperation and panic” in Hamas, “which is why it keeps fighting,” says Hussein Ibish, a senior fellow at the American Task Force on Palestine. “Hamas is trying to break out of this blockade in a whole new way because the blockade is different. They’re broke and unable to move.”

image

The Gaza Strip is less than 7 miles wide at it’s widest point along the southern border with Egypt. For half its length it’s only 3 miles wide. And it’s only 32 miles long. Most counties in the USA are far bigger than this place. Heck, I’d bet there are privately owned farms or ranches bigger than this place. 139 square miles, according to Wiki, who supplied the above map. That’s less than half of the land area of the Five Boroughs that together make up New York City. Crivens, it’s hardly bigger than Queens.

Yet it has 40,000 government employees. FORTY THOUSAND. That’s one government person every 103 yards.

Am I the only one who think that smells a bit?

like trying to empty the ocean with a tea spoon

A most excellent, must read essay up at Theo’s. An interview with an Israeli farm family and life under the daily attacks from Hamas for THIRTEEN YEARS. And now the war is nearly in their front yard. THIRTEEN YEARS. And the world chides Israel for any response, because it’s always a “disproportionate response”.

Like Hell.

Do you understand? We don’t hate them. We had good friends in Gaza. We know there are good people there and what kind of chance does a child have there to grow up NOT to want to kill me? That’s all he’s raised with, rocket and guns and hand grenades. They dress their toddlers up in suicide vests and take pictures of them. That’s like their Purim costume , their halloween. Isn’t that cute? Isn’t that sweet ? He’s a little suicide bomber. Here we’ll take his picture and send it to grandma so she’ll be proud. We know they have a gun to their heads. But what should we do when they come to kill us? When they pop up out of the ground on our front lawn and want to kill us? What should we do? And the world blames us because not enough of us are dead? That’s the crime?

Go read Dan Gordon’s piece.

No Rules For Hamas

From today’s Jerusalem Post -

The IDF on Wednesday uncovered a new tunnel shaft in Gaza, leading to an underground passage that contained IDF uniforms, maps, and weapons.

Meanwhile, a Givati infantry unit fired on a terrorist cell that surfaced from a tunnel. One terrorist has been shot.

Elsewhere in Gaza, an Amored Corps force fired on two terror cells that were about to fire an anti-tank missile at the army. The cell was hit, the army said. Overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, a Golani infantry force came under anti-tank fire. Soldiers returned fire, and directed an air strike at the cell that fired the missile. The cell was hit.

Hamas has used positions in the Al-Wafa Hospital in Gaza to fire automatic weapons and anti-tank missiles on soldiers, and the IDF fired back in recent minutes, the army said Wednesday.

“The hospital was used for activating war rooms and command and control centers by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad,” the army said.

The IDF Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories has issued repeated and direct warnings to the hospital’s manager, and to other Palestinians involved in running the hospital, the army said.

“Firing on our soldiers has grown in recent hours and endangered forces. As a result, the IDF has decided to strike terrorists operating in the hospital complex,” it added.

Nothing is off limits for these animals. Hiding missiles beneath the schools their own children use, wearing the uniform of their enemy, fielding non-uniformed troops of all ages and both genders, and now using a functional hospital as a fire base. These aren’t soldiers. They are terrorists.

Get ready for the international news item “Heartless Israel attacks hospital, dozens of sick and wounded killed in latest IDF atrocity”.

Fallen Off The Radar Screen

100 Days Later, Girls Still Kidnapped

Nigeria marked a solemn milestone Tuesday in the abduction of more than 200 schoolgirls. Exactly 100 days after the girls were kidnapped by by Islamic extremists Boko Haram, 219 of them were still missing, a presidential committee said. In the three months since they were taken, at least 11 of their parents have died, residents told The Associated Press.

The militants have been steadfast in their attacks throughout Nigeria and have balked at international pleas to release the girls. Nearly 60 students managed to escape from the thick jungle where most of them are still believed to be captive, but the AP has reported that at least 20 others are ill, and at least two have died of snake bites. Seven of the girls’ fathers were killed in a militant attack this month near their hometown of Chibok, and at least four other parents have died from heart failure and other illnesses that the community attributes to trauma from the girls’ abduction. A health worker offered the AP one ray of hope: The escapees, who at first refused to talk about their experience, are now participating in music and art therapy, though they are still gravely concerned about their missing classmates.

Yup, 3 and a half months later, no rescue, no success, no forward motion at all. Video at the above link, along with 119 other stories on the kidnapped schoolgirls.

A Slim Ray Of Hope

DC Court Guts Obamacare

WASHINGTON – A federal appeals court dealt a major blow to ObamaCare on Tuesday, ruling against the legality of some subsidies issued to people through the Affordable Care Act exchanges.

Though the ruling is likely to be appealed, the decision threatens to gut the foundation of the law by potentially nixing subsidies that millions of people obtained through the federally run exchange known as HealthCare.gov.

A three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia ruled 2-1 that the IRS went too far in extending subsidies to those who buy insurance through that website.

The suit maintained that the language in ObamaCare actually restricts subsidies to state-run exchanges—of which there are only 14—and does not authorize them to be given in the 36 states that use the federally run system.

The court agreed.

“We reach this conclusion, frankly, with reluctance. At least until states that wish to can set up Exchanges, our ruling will likely have significant consequences both for the millions of individuals receiving tax credits through federal Exchanges and for health insurance markets more broadly,” the ruling stated.

The case, Halbig v. Burwell, is one of the first major legal challenges that cuts to the heart of the Affordable Care Act by going after the legality of massive federal subsidies and those who benefit from them.

The decision said the law “unambiguously restricts” the subsidies to insurance bought on state-run exchanges.

Right. Obvious as dawn to me: equality under the law. The same law for everyone, with the same benefits and penalties. You can’t give taxpayer X a big fat subsidy check because she lives in a state with an Exchange, while denying taxpayer Y - identical to taxpayer X in all ways pertinent - any kind of subsidy because she doesn’t live in a state with an Exchange.

I’m not sure if that was their reasoning, but I think it ought to have been.

The decision is likely to be appealed, and for now, in typical law breaking brazen fashion, the White House says it will ignore the court’s decision and continue sending out subsidy checks to the right kind of people.

Obamacare. Is there any part of this garbage pile that doesn’t reek of tyranny?

Of course, without those subsidy payments, people who signed up for O-care and traded in their less expensive policy for a new more expensive policy, will find themselves paying even more.  Maybe even twice as much, or higher!

Nearly 90 percent of the federal exchange’s insurance enrollees were eligible for subsidies because of low or moderate incomes, and the outcome of the case could potentially leave millions without affordable health insurance.

Yeah, as if “paying twice as much as before” qualifies as “affordable” in the first place. Now take away the subsidy. Suckers.

Gee, maybe somebody responsible ought to throw this thing out and start all over.

This whole Obamacare thing is a turd sandwich. Without any bacon.

The Follow Up The Media Ignored

PS - and here we go, around again ...

For second time, rockets found at UN school in Gaza
For the second time in less than a week, rockets have been found in a school in Gaza operated by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, the body said.

“Today, in the course of the regular inspection of its premises, UNRWA discovered rockets hidden in a vacant school in the Gaza Strip,” the organization said in a statement issued Tuesday. “As soon as the rockets were discovered, UNRWA staff were withdrawn from the premises, and so we are unable to confirm the precise number of rockets. The school is situated between two other UNRWA schools that currently each accommodate 1,500 internally displaced persons.”

As it did the last time around when missiles were found in a school it operates, UNRWA said it “strongly and unequivocally condemns the group or groups responsible for this flagrant violation of the inviolability of its premises under international law.”

UNRWA, the UN agency charged with overseeing humanitarian efforts in Gaza, said it immediately “informed the relevant parties and is pursuing all possible measures for the removal of the objects in order to preserve the safety and security of the school.” The organization again pledged to launch a “comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.”

So they’ve got three schools in a row, with a student body of 4,500 students. That’s HUGE. Which implies a huge staff of teachers, admins, and maintenance people. And yet somehow terrorists have managed to sneak in and store lots - “we don’t know how many because we wet our pants and ran away before we could even count them” - lots of missiles in the basement. Many, many pounds, perhaps a couple of tons, of high explosives surrounded by shrapnel. Right underneath their own children. Who the heck else do you think the “displaced persons” in Gaza are? It ain’t Auntie Bess who got lost at the Mall of America!

But seriously. Right. Underneath. Their. Own. Children. Hey, how many tons of bombs under your kids? And would you be happy with more, or less of them? Yeah right.

Now, guess what will happen next ...

“According to longstanding UN practice in UN humanitarian operations worldwide, incidents involving unexploded ordnance that could endanger beneficiaries and staff are referred to the local authorities,” UNRWA’s director of advocacy and strategic communications, Christopher Gunness, told The Times of Israel Sunday.

Which is BSspeech for “We gave them back to Hamas”. Again. After all, who do you think is the other part of that new unity government with the Palestinian Authority?

Oh, wait. Was this school, “School B” also vacant, like last week’s “School A” was? Vacant as in “unused”? Or was it “vacant” only because the kids weren’t there at 8pm when the missiles were discovered? It’s a bit hard to accept that they’re be a school on either side of this place, each with 1500 students, while this one sat empty.

Gee, Who DIDN’T See This Coming

Swipe Yo EBT, Buy Yo Blunts

Colorado tokers sending EBT money up in smoke

For the past six months, welfare beneficiaries in Colorado have repeatedly withdrawn their cash benefits at marijuana retailers and dispensaries, according to a new analysis by National Review Online. Such apparent abuses have caught the eye of Colorado’s executive and legislative powers alike, and the state has launched an effort to curb them.

At least 259 times in the first six months of legalized recreational marijuana in Colorado, beneficiaries used their electronic-benefit transfer (EBT) cards to access public assistance at weed retailers and dispensaries, withdrawing a total of $23,608.53 in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) cash, NRO’s examination found.

In 2012, the latest fiscal year available, Colorado used $124 million in TANF money from the federal government, according to the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities. Withdrawals at marijuana establishments represented only a tiny fraction of the more than 500,000 total EBT transactions that have occurred since recreational weed became legal in Colorado on January 1. And it’s impossible to determine how much of that welfare money actually was used to buy pot, given that cash benefits are fungible and some of these establishments also sell groceries.

Nevertheless, welfare withdrawals at weed stores are coming under increasing scrutiny, and Colorado’s legislators and bureaucrats are beginning an effort to restrict abuses.

On July 11, the Colorado State Board of Human Services passed an emergency rule, effective immediately, restricting the use of TANF funds at marijuana shops, bars, liquor stores, gambling establishments, and other potentially inappropriate venues.

Gee, no kidding. Duh.

If you set the welfare system up so that people can get cash, then some of them will use that cash for luxury items, entertainment, and recreational drugs. We saw this with the post-Katrina emergency cash cards used to buy lap dances, we’ve seen it for years with every bodega in the country, and we’ve seen it for ages to a lesser extent with the “sub currencies” of cases of Pepsi soda in the Appalachian areas and the liquid Tide detergent in the urban areas. Give people money and they will spend it on what they feel like. Give them credit to acquire what can be exchanged for money, and they’ll do that as well.

There are no surprises here. And making some kind of effort to keep the EBT machines away from the stoner shops is a waste of money. Do you think these folks can’t walk half a block down the street from the grocery store? Give me a break. If you want a screw-proof system, then make the cards usable for an issue package. By which I mean, given the universal computerization and government access to everything, that your EBT card is good for a monthly allocation of 6 2lb packages of hamburger, 4 4 roll packages of toilet paper, 12 1lb loaves of whole wheat bread, 1 1.25lb chuck steak, 5 13oz boxes of regular Cheerios, 8 gallons of whole milk in either quarts, halves, or gallons, etc. Pretty much it becomes a shopping list, and everyone on it has to eat the same foods. It’s your issue, your distribution. No money comes out, and you can’t buy enough of any one item to be able to use it as trade stock for anything else. Any other way of doing it, and somebody is going to figure out how to play the system, to get their lap dances and their bong hits. So do it right. Or shut up.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
