Not surprising either is the subject of this post, when we consider who the ppl are who are involved.
It’s an age old gypsy thing, a never ending story of taking whatever it is they happen to want, no matter what the object of their desire is at the time. Including children.
For those readers who may not know it, there is nothing out of the ordinary for them by taking babies and young kids.
My grandmother was taken by gypos when she was not quite 2 years old. Her brothers tracked her down and took her back. And that was in the 1800s. Just another day in the life for those vermin.

Btw .... my wife remarks that as a youngster people used to exercise much caution and keep a close eye on the kids, when gypos came into an area or made a camp in the area. She remembers neighbors telling one another to keep a close eye as there were gypsies in town.

These are the first photos of the gypsy couple who appeared in court today charged with abducting Maria, a young blonde girl whose identity remains a mystery.
Hristos Salis, 39, and Eleftheria Dimopoulou, 40, have been held in custody pending trial after responding to the charges behind closed doors in Larissa this afternoon.
The couple, who face a sentence of between 10 and 20 years in prison if convicted, deny they snatched the girl and say they took her under their care after her mother handed the girl to them shortly after giving birth.
‘It was an adoption that was not exactly legal, but took place with the mother’s consent,’ Constantinos Katsavos, one of the lawyers representing Salis, told reporters, adding that is what the couple testified in court.
It is ‘well known’ that ‘there is a baby-trade conducted by gipsies between Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and England.’
The couple have told various stories – that she was abandoned by a Bulgarian woman, or found on a rubbish tip – but Mr Yannopoulos said it is more likely she is from Scandinavia.Yesterday residents of Farsala’s gipsy camp claimed a Bulgarian family had made an arrangement with the couple to look after their daughter since she was a baby.
‘There has been no kidnapping, no robbery, no trafficking,’ insisted her colleague Konstantinos Katsavos, who also represents the couple.
‘They did not buy the child,’ he said.
‘We know the (girl’s) parents are from Bulgaria,’ Marios Sainopoulos, a representative for the Roma community in Greece, told Skai TV on Monday.
‘The mother gave the child away because she could not raise it… the child was not kidnapped,’ he insisted.
Police allege the woman claimed to have given birth to six children in less than 10 months, while 10 of the 14 children the couple had registered as their own are unaccounted for.
Police said the family received more than £7,000 a month in benefits for the children they claimed to have.
Police chief Vassilis Halatsis added that the woman had two separate ID cards and names.
He said: ‘Of the children we have traced so far, just by looking at them you can see that there is very little or no resemblance at all to the parents.
‘It is obvious that we are faced with a very well-organised racket, and it is certainly not the only one.’

It’s a done deal in their minds. Tea Party = Racist = Enemy, Domestic.
My head is spinning. And apparently, they even TEACH this Dixiecrat “connection” thing in college poli-sci classes.

Board of Education were orchestrated under the banner of the Stars and Bars. The election that galvanized the brand of racialized acrimony and indignation we’re now seeing in the country was not the one that brought Barack Obama to office in 2008; it was the one in 1948, which brought us the Dixiecrats.
The rise of the Dixiecrat Party, like that of the Tea Party sixty years later, was ostensibly the result of one faction within a political party coming to believe its policy interests had been neglected. But on a more fundamental level ...
blah blah blah. So now the Conservative Tea Party inherits the sins of the super-racist branch of the Democratic Party, from 1948. Strom Thurmond would be Sarah Palin’s new forever bestie if he wasn’t completely dead already.
Riiiight.
If we care to recall it, there is a direct and historical relationship between the ideological commitment to small government and the belief that the government’s priorities are skewed toward racial minorities. Federal intervention in the Little Rock desegregation crisis and Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society initiatives hardened the conviction among some whites that government worked predominantly on behalf of minority communities.
That those people were called Democrats in those days, and still are, has no bearing on this “perceived truth”. Nor does the other percieved truth, that a HUGE piece of the government is a jobs program for those minorities, and that untold billions have been spent, largely wasted, on all kinds of plans to help/aid/uplift those very same minorities. People get upset at what they call “BRA” because they see it everywhere they look, and they find themselves labeled as some kind of enemies by the country they so strongly support (sound familiar white man?) So let’s drag the blanket amnesty issue into it too, because anyone who is not 100% behind just throwing open the borders and letting our nation be even further overrun by another 30 million or so foreigners who should not be here is of course ... a racist. And therefore an Enemy, Domestic. aka a Tea Party person.
Flaming shit on a shingle. I think I’m going to change the name of this blog to Domestic Enemy. Why not? That’s what being in favor of a normal, classic America means these days. Because, now that we’ve all been fundamentally transformed, white is black, down is up, and we live in inside-out Bizarro World, therefore true patriots are enemies of the State.

So far, construction of the first-in-class Zumwalt, the largest U.S. Navy destroyer ever built, is on time and on budget, something that’s a rarity in new defense programs, officials said. And the Navy believes the ship’s big gun, stealthy silhouette and advance features will make it a formidable package.
The christening of the ship bearing the name of the late Adm. Elmo “Bud” Zumwalt was canceled a week ago because of the federal government shutdown. Without fanfare, the big ship will be moved to dry dock and floated in the coming days.
The ship is 100 feet longer than the existing class of destroyers.
It features an unusual wave-piercing hull, electric drive propulsion, advanced sonar and guided missiles, and a new gun that fires rocket-propelled warheads as far as 100 miles. Unlike warships with towering radar- and antenna-laden superstructures, the Zumwalt will ride low to the water to minimize its radar signature, making it stealthier than others.

The Navy once envisioned building more than 20 of the ships. But the ship has so many sophisticated features and its cost grew so high that senior Navy officials tried to kill the program. Instead, it was truncated to just three ships, the first being Zumwalt.
The Zumwalt will cost more than $3.5 billion — about three times that of current destroyers — but the program has not been beset by big cost overruns or delays, officials said.
Hard to swallow that one. $3.5 BILLION. But WTH, the Air Force has single airplanes that cost nearly as much. I guess money doesn’t go that far anymore, considering that a regular old ocean liner or cruise ship, twice as long, twice as wide, twice as tall, costs a mere billion. And goes 4mph slower. So the Navy gets 1/8 as much boat for 3.5 times the price, essentially paying out 25 times more than the rest of us. But hey, this thing has every last bell, whistle, and woo-woo bit of electronics the entire defense industry could dream up. And TWO cannons, so look out.
Two.
And while costs have soared on this tin can so much that top officials tried to kill the whole project, and what was going to be 20 ships is now just 3, now we’re told the boat is being built on time and on budget. Yeah right.

OMG, it’s quarter after four in the morning here, and this place is FREEZING!!
I had the heat on Saturday but turned it off when we went out Sunday and we were gone most of the day, not getting back here to stay until late. And we went to bed soon after that.
Weather thingy says it’s 35°F out. Hmmphf. OK, maybe not our first actual freeze, but I’m sure that’s cold enough to kill what’s left of the basil growing in the pot out on the patio.
Fall has fallen. Winter is coming.
And I’m going back to bed. Brrr!!

over the edge: by their words you shall know them
So there you have it: in the eyes of Democrats, or at least this one, who happens to be elected to one of the highest positions in the land, Tea Party folks - fellow citizens - are NOT political opponents. We are DOMESTIC ENEMIES. Murderers, terrorists, anarchists, what have you. Tea Party folks, and probably everybody else on that DHS list from a few years ago. People who believe in the Constitution, in a limited and specifically enumerated federal government. ENEMIES.
I think this is not so much a Freudian Slip as it is a Line In The Sand.
Heart and soul, it is the belief of this Congressman that a quarter to a third of his own constituents are enemies of the nation. ENEMIES. Tea Party folks, who are the strongest supporters of the Constitution, are, in his eyes, enemies of the Constitution. Because that’s the only thing that a Domestic Enemy can be an enemy of. The Constitution.
Come to think of it, that’s exactly how the pResident terms us too. And probably Juan McAmnesty and flaccid Boehner as well. Because we think they’re all going in the wrong direction. Thus WE are ENEMIES. All for being a tad Jeffersonian. You know, the guy who wrote the document in the first place.
Can we run this jerk out of office for this remark? To heck with it being grossly inappropriate and hurtful. It shows that he himself is clueless and inept, not having the smallest concept of what an “enemy, domestic” really is. This SCFOMCSF is running the government at the highest levels? Oh hella no.
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. That’s the oath, right there. Do you think he’s keeping it, or do you think he’s breaking it, either because he doesn’t have a clue in all the world, or because he’s the lowest kind of pond scum sucker to every wallow in a swamp?

Pat Buchanan, right twice in two weeks.
“We told you you would lose!” wail the Beltway bundlers of the Republican establishment.
“We told you you would lose!” moan neoconservative columnists from their privileged perches on the op-ed pages of the Beltway press.
“Look at what Ted Cruz and this Tea Party people did to us,” wails the GOP establishment. “Look what has happened to our brand.” And 2014 was looking wonderful.
What a basket of wimps.
How could any principled Republican conservative vote to impose this moral, fiscal, social and technological disaster upon our country?
Here was the recommended Beltway GOP strategy:
House Republicans should vote to fund Obamacare in a clean CR. Then exploit the disaster of the rollout to show what a horror it is. This will pump up our polls and improve our field position for 2014.
Then we can pick up some seats!
Bottom line: Let’s vote to impose Obamacare on America and make Democrats pay the price of the calamity we voted to impose.
Now there may be a more cynical strategy than deliberately doing permanent damage to your country to help your party.
Right now, I just can’t think of it.
Nor can most Conservative Americans Pat. Nor can we.
We’ve been sold out, again, by our non-representatives, who only pretend to fight. John Paul Jones, where are you now?

A month or so ago I did a little post on my favorite Nick Cage movie, the artsy and pretty to look at WWII romance flick Captain Corelli’s Mandolin. It’s a sweet story, loosely framed by actual historic events of the ugliest kind. Cage’s Captain Morelli is an Italian artillery officer stationed on the Greek island of Cephellonia, and rather glad to be in that forgotten backwater of the war. Life is a daily party for him and his men until Italy surrenders, and the Nazis show up, and it all goes to hell. The Italian soldiers were rounded up and executed, by the thousands. In the film Morellis survives, but in the real world very few did. It was “just another” atrocity in a war filled with countless atrocities of inhuman scale.
Now, 70 years later, someone has finally been convicted of this war crime. Sort of convicted. Because the courts don’t actual habeus the corpus. It’s a nice gesture, but I’m not sure it’s really anything more than that.
Rome’s military tribunal has convicted a 90-year-old ex-Nazi living in Germany for his role in the execution of 120 Italian officers on the Greek island of Kefalonia.
Prosecutor Marco De Paolis said Alfred Stork was sentenced in absentia Friday to life in prison for his role in the executions of the officers, including division commander Gen. Antonio Gardin.
Between 3,000 and 4,000 Italian soldiers were killed in the week-long massacre in September 1943. Italian troops that had been occupying Greece with German allies found themselves in enemy territory when Italy signed an armistice with the Allies following the fall of fascist leader Benito Mussolini.
It was the first conviction in Italy for the Kefalonia massacres. Previous attempts were closed due to the death of defendants or lack of evidence.
Stork, who had confessed to playing a key role in the brutal execution to German prosecutors in 2005, was not in court.
“He didn’t have the fortitude to stick to his admission of guilt and preferred to stay in the comfort of his German home,” military prosecutor Marco De Paolis told the court.
Stork currently lives in Kippenheim, southwestern Germany.
On 8 September 1943 Italy, which had entered World War II under the leadership of Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini as an ally to Nazi Germany, switched sides after surrendering to the US and its allies.
The armistice sparked chaotic scenes, as Italians troops fighting across Europe alongside Nazis had now to fight against them.
More than 500,000 Italian soldiers were taken prisoner and at least 5,000 shot dead in the following weeks.
Italian troops in Cephalonia, a small island in the Ionian Sea, surrendered to the Germans after a week of fighting.
“We were told to kill them because they had been designated as traitors,” Stork reportedly told German detectives.
It remains to be seen whether any extradition will occur. I would think this would be automatic, what with the EU being “one big nation” and all that, but we’ll see; his side wasn’t represented at the Italian trial so it’s all politics at this point. And while this Stork fellow may have been one of the triggermen, being 90 now implies that he was no more than 20 at the time, which makes me think he was too young to be one of the people in charge. “Just following orders” is no excuse, but obviously the big cheeses here either escaped justice or didn’t survive the war or post-war long enough to be brought to justice. Which is another kind of atrocity, and again a rather common one for this conflict. Sad.

One for the books.
In essence, as reported elsewhere, the owner was charged officially with causing unnecessary suffering to her dogs.
Oh yeah … ooops. Forgot. Her dogs killed a young girl. No suffering there of course.
When something like this can pass for justice, you know all is without question, finally lost. It isn’t as if she wasn’t warned in the past about how she kept her animals, but I guess when laws have no teeth, people just don’t pay much attention.

THE family of a 14-year-old girl savaged to death by four dogs said they were “disgusted” after the owner walked free from court with a suspended sentence.
Beverley Concannon kept one of her dogs, a big American bull mastiff, in a tiny cage where it went “stir crazy” along with two other pit bulls and another bull mastiff which were all kept cooped up in her council house.
The conditions led to them becoming stressed and “hyper aggressive” and they turned on Jade Lomas-Anderson at the house in Atherton, Greater Manchester on March 26.
The girl, who was on half-term school holidays and had stayed the night with Concannon’s daughter at the house, suffered “horrific” injuries “from head to toe”, Wigan Magistrates’ Court heard.
Pc Martin Burkinshaw, who was first on the scene after the 999 call, said: “I will never forget what I saw.”
Concannon, 45, who had been warned before about her aggressive dogs and how she kept them, admitted causing unnecessary suffering to bull mastiffs Buddy and Neo and Staffordshire bull terriers Ty and Sky between July 19 last year and March 25 this year.
Wigan Magistrates’ Court heard that she subjected the animals to “an environment that was detrimental to their well-being”.
She sat head down in the dock throughout the hearing just yards from Jade’s family, who broke into tears as the court heard distressing details of the incident.
But they marched out of court in unison as Concannon was told she would not be going to jail immediately.
The defendant, who is on benefits, was given a 16 week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay costs and a victim surcharge totalling £165. She was also banned from keeping dogs indefinitely.

Another update and what a story this is.
Don’t know what you will think, but I don’t believe a word this sack of lying crap says. And the judge ain’t much either.
Background. PCSO - Police Community Support Officer
So this person probably a foreigner judging by the name, (Rachida Sobhi) wants to be a one of those PCSOs. Maybe it’s the uniform or she thought it might be better then working at a real job. Who knows. Well, she applied and apparently got the job but, during a background check it was discovered she had a record.
So she lost the job.
But you know how it goes ... one is disappointed in life and so one sues or finds reasons or makes them up as to why they aren’t wanted.
So .... somehow it’s found she suffered (they ALWAYS are described as “suffering") memory loss. So you see, she couldn’t tell em what she didn’t know, so now she suing. And the judge buys it.

Well okay .... so what if in the performance of this job she lost her memory again. And again. Plainly she isn’t fit for this kind of employment, assuming she is telling the truth. But no matter. The way things work here ... bullshit wins.

A sacked PCSO who is suing London’s Metropolitan Police for discrimination has successfully argued she did not know she had amnesia when she failed to declare a conviction for theft.
But a tribunal has reserved its decision on several key points that will determine whether her claims against the police force are ultimately successful.
Rachida Sobhi, 43, took the Metropolitan Police to court after she was denied a role as a police constable in December 2009, claiming she was discriminated against because of a disability.
She was denied the job - and has since been sacked - because she was reprimanded earlier that year for failing to declare a conditional discharge for theft in 1991.
But Ms Sohbi had since argued at the time she did not remember being arrested because she suffered dissociative amnesia stemming from personal trauma she had experienced around that time.
A preliminary hearing at the London Central Employment Tribunal today was tasked to determine whether Ms Sobhi knew she had amnesia when she filled out the security form and whether she should have mentioned that on the form.
Ms Sobhi said she wasn’t aware when she filled out the form and only had any recollection at all she might have been arrested when she was contacted by a vetting officer in February 2009, about two months after she filled in the security form, to ask why her fingerprints were in the police database.
‘For some strange reason… I had a couple of small flashes of memory - nothing else,” she said.
‘I still did not know of the existence of the dissociative amnesia then. I didn’t even know what on earth he was talking about.’
Miss Sobhi also told the hearing that she felt the Met did not support her after she discovered her memory loss.
‘I just had a feeling that some sort of assessment need to be done. It is not very nice experience to go through - they refused to provide me with medical assistance.
‘Without the help of my family and seeking psychiatric assessment I could have spent the rest of my life not knowing what was going on with my memory.
‘February 26 (2009) was the first time I was aware there was an allegation of theft that had resulted in the receipt of a conditional discharge.’

Not a whole lot from me today. Bit of down time.
Had to get the car washed again yesterday as there were dozens of yellow jacket wasps crawling all over it. Several got their feet stuck in the pine tree honeydew and stayed on all the way to the car wash, where they met their sudsy demise. I’m starting to get tired of this. Maybe I’ll nag the condo association to trim the trees or spray them or put in a yellow jacket trap or three.
Been watching Orphan Black on the telly. As always, we come late to the game, but the cable company has On Demand, so we can catch all the back episodes. This show rocks! Tatiana Maslany plays her character Sarah, and at least half a dozen more along with her ... because she’s a clone. And somebody is out to kill them all. So she’s the police detective investigating things, at least one of the attempted murderesses (clone v. clone), all the dead ones, the soccer mom, the nerdy grad student, the SoHo con artist ... etc. I thought at first it was going to be another Dollhouse but with English accents, but it is far far better than that. And with her great figure and strong looks, all the clone versions look nicely spicy. Action/Mystery/Crime Drama, a bit of swearing and light nudity.

I posted the story some months back about a group of self styled defenders of public morals, demanding sharia law and abusing folks in public who were drinking beer etc.
Well, the verminous idiots have finally been in court and why iy takes so long is anyone’s guess.
Why any were even allowed to be out of jail or better yet not shot after the threats they made, just shows how stupid the system is that will not protect itself. You have to take these guys seriously, because they damn well taken themselves that way.
Oh well, maybe after there’s an attack on home soil again that dwarfs 7/7, maybe then. Nah. Btw ,,, in an unrelated case,,, police raided homes and arrested four this week who were planning an attack of some kind. I’m happy for that but it’s just plain frustrating that these creeps have rights of any sort. In this case, the perps haven’t hidden anything. They are right there out in the open telling us all what they have planned. They can do that because .... they have ‘rights’. And they know it, and they use it. Against us.

Jordan Horner was part of the ‘Muslim Patrol’ which wandered around Tower Hamlets late at night threatening people for drinking beer.
The group said they wanted to ‘kill non-believers’ and said they would stab revellers, as well as uploading YouTube videos in which they criticised non-Muslims for what they were wearing.
Horner, 19, was previously jailed for six weeks after telling photographers gathered outside hate preacher Anjem Choudary’s house that they could end up like murdered soldier Lee Rigby.
In the early house of January 6 this year, Horner and others apparently approached a group of five men walking along the street then snatched cans of beer out of their hands before emptying them into the gutter.
The ‘Muslim Patrol’ is alleged to have said: ‘Why are you poisoning your body? It is against Islam. This is Muslim Patrol. Kill the non-believers.’
One then told another to ‘go get the shank [knife]’, but as the men walked away Horner threw punches at them, hitting one in the jaw.
He is also alleged to have threatened two couples and a man in East London between December and January.
At an earlier hearing at Thames Magistrates Court, prosecutor Kehinde Adesina said that on January 6 Horner and his extremist friends took to the streets to enforce Sharia Law.
‘Prior to the incident there were some videos uploaded to YouTube about people being inappropriately dressed in east London,’ he said.
‘Between 4am and 5am a group of five male friends were out drinking enjoying a night out. They had cans of beer in their hands.
‘The group were approached by Mr Horner and some other men in Muslim dress. They took the beer can out of one of the men’s hands and poured it out.’
Miss Adesina added: ‘The victims describe the main aggressor as being ginger with a ginger beard. And one victim said the white ginger male punched him in the jaw.
‘It was a group attack and a religiously aggravated assault.’
Today Horner appeared at the Old Bailey alongside fellow converts Ricardo McFarlane, 26, and a 23-year-old man who cannot be named for legal reasons.
McFarlane appeared in the dock dressed in white robes and a headscarf, while Horner - who calls himself Jamaal Uddin - and the other man appeared via video link from Belmarsh Prison.
It can now be reported that Horner was jailed earlier this year when he threatened photographers, saying they would meet the same fate as ‘boy soldier’ Lee Rigby if they took pictures of Anjem Choudary.
He was convicted of assault and criminal damage after beating up one photographer and smashing up another’s car.
Horner shoved Bradley Page outside Choudary’s house in Walthamstow two days after Drummer Rigby was hacked to death in Woolwich on May 22, and said: ‘You should be careful. What happened to the boy soldier could happen to you.’
The following day, he told Sonjia Horsman he would cut her ‘f***ing head off’ and caused £3,000 worth of damage to her car.
The teenager converted to Islam last year after being approached outside a pub, and has cut himself off from his family and former friends.
