We’re losing this

So ...

That pathetic attempt at a truck bomb in New York City last week ... the owner of the truck was some Pakistani guy, just back from a long visit over there. I’ve heard “religious training” but whatever. So he makes his tard-bomb ... and parks the truck in front of the Viacom office building.

Viacom owns Comedy Central.

Comedy Central broadcasts the cartoon South Park.

The other week South Park did a bust-on-everyone episode, and featured Mohammed wearing a bear costume. That part got edited out I’ve heard.

But they got truck bombed anyway.

Meanwhile, over in the other sandbox, our troops come under fire from jihadis, and they have to radio back to headquarters for permission to return fire. How long does that take - 15, 20, 30 minutes?

We’re going to lose this thing. On purpose. Because we have no leadership that is willing to stand up. Instead, he wants to bow down. To everyone. But to them the mostest.

Game over.

UPDATE: Hey, it gets worser every day. Now the news is that Flagstaff and Tucson are going to sue the state of Arizona over the new anti-illegal immigration law. Um, since when can cities within a state sue that state? And what’s their rag? That busting Pedro and Consuela when they commit some other offense is going to impact tourism!

The Tucson and Flagstaff city councils voted Tuesday to sue Arizona over its tough new immigration law, citing concerns about enforcement costs and negative effects on the state’s tourism industry.

The Flagstaff City Council voted unanimously in favor of a resolution that says it’s an unfunded mandate to carry out the responsibilities of the federal government. Its Tuesday night meeting drew a crowd that initially numbered in the hundreds but dwindled significantly as the night wore on.

How’s that for attitude? If the state wants the cops to enforce a new law, they should be paying them extra to do so. Because enforcing the law is asking too much of the police. Holy flaming armadillos.

Oh, and Mr. Paki the truck bomber? Yeah, he got arrested. While he was on the airplane about to fly off to Dubai, trying to make his getaway. So much for an effective TSA and Homeland Security.

The no-fly list failed to keep the Times Square suspect off the plane.

Faisal Shahzad had boarded a jetliner bound for the United Arab Emirates Monday night before federal authorities pulled him back. Although under surveillance since midafternoon, he had managed to elude investigators and head to the airport.

Hey, here’s a bad idea: pay extra attention to anyone and everyone getting on or off an airplane headed to sandland. Any flight, every flight. From Turkey all the way down and around to the Sudan. A big A+ for the clown posse keeping this guy “under surveillance”. Who ran the crew, Governor Patterson?

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot.
