It’s Beginning!!!!!!

Could it be my wish for C-BS to go bankrupt is coming true?  We can only hope!

To have Blather come in behind ALL news shows and RE-RUNS!  That’s just dandy as far as I am concerned.

Still, though, C-BS continues to stand behind this asshole who’s had a long history of questionable reporting with comments from top C-BS sources like:

“I do not think is fair to Dan, who is a fine journalist”

Fair has nothing to do with it, you FUCKWADS!  It has to do with honesty and credibility.  Something you lack and a fact that millions of Americans are finally waking up to.

We would do well to vote with our wallets when it comes to this kind of crap by not watching anything CBS produces.  Sooner or later the advertisers will realize and my dream of their bankruptcy can finally come true.

A Common Enemy

They shut down our office at noon today and sent everyone home. Winds are gusting up to 50 mph with a hard driving rain but it looks like Ivan will blow himself out over us here. Trees are dancing merrily outside my house but I don’t think any of them will come down unless we get some of those tornados that Ivan spawned in the southern part of the state this morning. I’ve got my fingers crossed.

Anyway, I got home, checked the house and settled down in my recliner with the current issue of The Weekly Standard. I did fine until I got to page 17 where I found the picture below and an excellent article by Fred Kagan entitled “One War, Many Fronts”. When I saw the picture and read the article about our need to let the Russians know that we are on their side in this war against a common enemy, I knew I had to share the picture with you. I checked the blog and saw the pictures of Vilmar’s new granddaughter before posting this. I shouldn’t have. Now, all I can think of is how madmen overseas want to do the same thing to little Trinity that they did to the child in this picture .... who was someone’s precious pride and joy. Burn this image into your brain, people. This is what our common enemy rejoices in accomplishing ....

A Follow-Up on Dan Blather and SEE-BS

I almost blew past this story thinking it would not really hold my interest nor reveal much we didn’t already know.  But any opinion I had about the means and ways of SEE-BS and Dan Blather when it comes to reporting and sourcing was further reinforced towards the tail end of the piece.

See for yourself:

Yesterday I posted something about Dan Blather and mentioned how he’d done a TV Special wherein he never really checked his sources and ended up hoodwinked by a bunch of psychologically unstable characters purporting to be that which they were not.

When reading the Washington Post story at first you will slog through a bunch of detail dealing with Kinko’s and a guy named Burkette, who many feel is the source of the documents.  Plus, he lives 21 miles from the Kinko’s---the only one in the area.

Towards the end you will see this:

“(Burkette)… has been involved in a bitter dispute with the Guard over medical benefits after suffering from a tropical disease following a military assignment in Panama. He has told reporters that he had a nervous breakdown and was hospitalized for depression after he left the Guard.”

What is it with Dan Blather and SEE-BS that they seem to interview only nut-bags?  And they believe everything these nutbags tell them, to boot?!?!?!?!

More telling and almost a slam dunk this buttwad is guilty as sin came when his lawyer said this about his client:

“(Burkette)… no longer trusts any possible outcome of speaking to the press on any issue regarding George W. Bush and does not choose to dignify recent spurious attacks upon his character with any comment.” (Emphasis mine.)

I guess the lawyer also knows the gig is up and that his asshole client is a lying sack of shit.  Hopefully the lawyer has some integrity and will run away in order NOT to tarnish his name.  Unless he comes from the John Edwards camp of trial lawyers.

So there you have it.  Can anyone say, “AGENDA?” because that’s exactly what it is looking like CBS has with President Bush and the Republican party---an agenda.  They will stoop to any level to dig up or make up dirt in the hopes no one will catch them out.

But the blogoshere has your number you shitbirds and it won’t be long before your news “reporting” is ignored by most Americans.  I look forward to witnessing your bankruptcy and slide into insignificance.

ASSHOLES!!!

As Promised

Between feeling quite sick, working on the yard, catching up on correspondence, and all other kinds of stuff associated with a return form several days’ absence, I finally got around to going through the almost 300 pictures my son burned on CD for me.

So here are a couple of pictures of the sweet little doll, Trinity.  (OK, I’m in one, too!  But she’s infinitely cuter.)

Rock Loses Another Great

On a sad note (no pun intended) Johnny Ramone died yesterday.

Who’s Johnny Ramone?  The co-founder of The Ramones, famous for their single “I wanna be sedated” and famous for never having had a song in the Top 40 but responsible for influencing bands like Nirvana and Green Day as well as Bruce Springsteen.  I have one of the CDs and I do not think any of their songs went over 3 minutes in length while most were just over 2 minutes long---something else they were noted for.

The Arrogance of the Rich

Sending the Rich Bitch to help disaster victims is like sending Marie Antoinette to feed French revolutionaries.  Except Teresa seems to think the needy can go naked, especially the children.

But then again, Teresa and Marie both speak French, as do most who practice at arrogance and snobbery.  Oh, and did anyone mention her Fuckface husband also speaks French?  Plus he served in Vietnam--a country COLONIZED by the FRENCH!!!  (anyone beginning to see the connection?) snake

Quote Of The Day

“I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority.”
-- E. B. White (1899-1985)

On This Day In History
September 16th

1620 - Mayflower Departs England
The Mayflower sails from Plymouth, England, bound for the New World with 102 passengers. The ship was headed for Virginia, where the colonists--half religious dissenters and half entrepreneurs--had been authorized to settle by the British crown. However, stormy weather and navigational errors forced the Mayflower off course, and on November 21 the “Pilgrims” reached Massachusetts, where they founded the first permanent European settlement in New England in late December. Thirty-five of the Pilgrims were members of the radical English Separatist Church, who traveled to America to escape the jurisdiction of the Church of England, which they found corrupt. Ten years earlier, English persecution had led a group of Separatists to flee to Holland in search of religious freedom. However, many were dissatisfied with economic opportunities in the Netherlands, and under the direction of William Bradford they decided to immigrate to Virginia, where an English colony had been founded at Jamestown in 1607.

1908 - General Motors was founded by William C. Durant.

1919 - The American Legion was incorporated by an act of Congress.

1940 - The United States first adopted peacetime conscription when President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Selective Training and Service Act into law.

1974 - President Ford announced conditional amnesty for Vietnam War deserters and draft evaders.

1982 - Lebanese Christians massacred hundreds of Palestinian refugees in Beirut.

Are We Having Fun Yet?

I’m sorry but Vilmar and I just had to have a little fun with you good folks today. I was getting VERY concerned about the boy since I hadn’t heard from him in nearly a week. When he finally showed up back at the BMEWS Florida Office I was relieved. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, we run this blog to entertain and to inform. To educate and to learn. But mostly we run it to rant and rave and have fun doing it. I look at Howard Dean and Al Gore turning into spitting, deranged monsters and take that as an example of what NOT to become. Sure, a lot of things piss me and Vilmar off but life is too short to blow a fuse like Al Gore evidently has done and we sure as hell couldn’t sleep at night if we started making up shit just to stroke our egos like Michael Moore and Dan Rather have done.

I’ll be on-line for sure until tomorrow evening when we’re supposed to get the worst of the winds and rain. I will probably lose power tomorrow night but Vilmar will continue to guide you “into the light”. And of course, I’ll be back.

Our on-line petition to have CBS investigated for possible fraud is getting more and more signatures. After less than 24 hours we already have 100 signatures. Spread the word and get people to go sign it. There is a groundswell growing to have an investigation and possibly press criminal charges. US Representative Chris Cox, R-CA (yes, Virginia, there are Republicans in California) is calling for a Congressional investigation. We need to keep applying pressure so this kind of media bias and blatant fraud gets exposed and stopped.

I leave you for now with the latest on Ivan The Terrible ....

Closing a couple of loops

A few days ago Allan, my now not-so-trusted Minister of Propaganda posted some news that seemingly implied I was not only NOT where I purported to be but that I also tried to disguise myself and acted niggardly while grabbing some chow.

First off, I’d like to dispel those assertion and declare my innocence in those matters.  Not only that but I want to state the person responsible was Allan, attempting to cast aspersions upon my good name while he plotted his aborted coup.  But in my beneficence, I forgave him and worked with local officials to get him off the hook.  Of course, it helps having connections with the local eatery’s owner’s brother, Tony.

His therapy continues.

In another follow-up, I would like to report that common sense exists in India.  A few weeks ago I posted about a terrorist in jail who wanted to be let out on bail in order to have sex with his wife.

The court recently ruled on his request.

It looks like he will have to continue to be on friendly terms with his right hand. (or is it the left since in Muslim countries the right hand is the “clean” hand and the “left” hand is the dirty one?

Blather-Gate Redux

I don’t need to go back over everything that’s been happening since Dan Rather stepped on his dick with the most recent documents release.

First off, let’s give some thought to the fact that CBS first stated they’d release a “clarifying statement” regarding the documents at noon.  Then it went to 1 PM, then 3:30 PM.  Now it is set for 5 PM.

Can you imagine how much word-smithing is taking place in order to release something that allows SEE-BS to not only justify Rather’s huge malicious hoax but also attempt to word it such that it is a vast right-wig conspiracy fobbed off on them.  My only question to those who have already asserted this is the following:  “if this is a vast right-wing conspiracy, release the name of the sources and do background checks on them to see if they are, in fact, Republicans.”

Of course, that will never happen.

So while we wait, why not read another “expose” Dan Blather is responsible for.

In 1988, Danny Boy aired a program called, “CBS Reports: The Wall Within” where he had interviews with Vietnam vets who claimed to have been traumatized by all the killing they either committed or witnessed in Vietnam.  Except almost all of it was false!

Here are some snippets:

“Under Rather’s gentle coaxing, Southards described slaughtering Vietnamese civilians, making his work appear to be that of the North Vietnamese. ”

Gentle coaxing?  More likely Rather offered him a bottle of booze to invent the story. This guy spent most of his time in the brig for being AWOL.

“Rather then moved on to suicidal veteran named George Grule, who was stationed on the aircraft carrier Ticonderoga off the coast of Vietnam during a secret mission. Grule described the horror of watching a friend walk into the spinning propeller of a plane, which chopped him to pieces and sprayed Grule with his blood. The memory of this trauma left Grule, like Steve, unable to function in normal society. ”

The Ticonderoga was off California’s coast, not Vietnam’s duing this period.  And Grule never saw the accident.

“Mikal Rice, who broke down as he described a grenade attack at Cam Ranh Bay, which blew in half the body of a buddy, “Sergeant Call.” “He died in my arms,” Rice tearfully recalled. Rice described how the sound of thunder and cars backfiring would regularly trigger his terrible memories.”

Never saw combat.  Was a guard.

“Terry Bradley, a “fighting sergeant” who told Rather he had skinned alive 50 Vietnamese men, women, and children in one hour and stacked their bodies in piles. “Could you do this for one hour of your life, you stack up every way a body could be mangled, up into a body, an arm, a tit, an eyeball . . . Imagine us over there for a year and doing it intensely,” Bradley said. “That is sick.”

Spent a year in jail for being AWOL.  Never happened.  Fuckwad never even questioned the validity of this guy’s assertion.  Imagine a whole year of skinning bodies.  Do the math.  Acording to this guy, 50 an hour for a year.  1200 a day x 365.  This guy’s unit virtually single-handedly wiped out the Vietnamese people.  But, hey, we have a point to make and if facts interfere with our opinions we can’t let them get in the way.

So this is not the first time Fuckwad Blather has not checked his sources.  This son of a bitch hates the Republican party so much he’d rather (no pun intended) invent stories than verify them.

So, while we’re at it, how about sending an email to this address:  scams@cbsnews.com

According to CBS’s web page, that’s the address you can send an email to alerting them to a scam.

How’s this for an idea:

Dear CBS:

I was watching the television the other day and there was this older guy trying to pawn off some antiques. They looked genuine at first glance, but then I talked to some friends who know something about this kind of antique. They said that it could be reproduced quite easily with modern equipment. When I checked back with the old television guy, he assured me that it was genuine. I didn’t know what to do!

Finally, someone pointed me to a Web site where I could see a side-by-side comparison of a cheaply reproduced product (made in only a few minutes!) with the antique being pawned. Identical matches. I’m glad I wasn’t scammed, but there may be thousands who didn’t see this comparison and might think that the fake antiques are real! If you could look into it, I think you’ll save a lot of people from making a terrible mistake.

The television station was channel 46 in Atlanta, and I think the old guy’s name was Ran Dather, or some such nonsense. I appreciate the work you do, keeping the public informed of those treacherous scams out there!

A Coup Averted

I go away for a few days and what happens?  My Minister Of Propaganda attempts to stage a palace coup. (see the previous post’s update comments below)

I thought I could trust him.  I did not worry while I was gone and figured he’d attempt anything.

So I come back, find little hints here and there that something was afoot, and decided I’d better get back in the swing of things.  But I was not quick enough.

Thanks to several BMEWS readers I was able to discover that Allan joined forces with AlGore, Michael Moore, Al Franken and Dan Rather.  Quick action on my part allowed me to capture Allan before too much brain damage was done (he was found in a room with Teresa Heinz-Ketchup playing “post-office!” All I heard was Teresa saying things like “is that BULK rate or are you just happy to see me?” and Allan saying, “can I slide my “package” through your automatic canceller?”

It was disgusting.

I knocked him out and dragged him out of there.  Last I heard was Teresa yelling, “don’t take him away.  It’s only ketchup!!  It’s not what you think!!”

Right now I have locked him up and will only allow him to post the Daily Dose.  In the meantime he is in rehab, resting.  He’s angry but he’ll get over it.  It’s for his own good.

If anyone has ideas as to what his punishment/rehab therapy ought to be, please let me know.  I’d rather not subject him to intense torture unless it is necessary.  The Dictator side of me says I ought to yank out his fingernails and dip his stubs in electrified salt water but I am trying to become a Compassionate AS WELL AS Benevolent Dictator.

So for now I’m leaning towards taped Ronald Reagan speeches, John Wayne movies, Tom Clancy novels and pictures of guns in order to snap him out of these coup tendencies.

Terry McAuliffe contacted my legal division and wants to ransom Allan but I told Terry to go perform unnatural sexual acts upon himself and as well as on all his DNC cronies.  I’ve heard nothing back so can only assume he’s attempting to have carnal knowledge of himself.

The Rumors Are True---I am BAAAAACK!!

Boy howdy!  I go away for a few days and all SORTS of crap hits the fan!  A couple of knives get shoved in my back.  Scurrilous accusations about my loyalty and allegiance are made.  Demands for DNA testing.  Hype about traitorous behavior.

With friends like you guys, who the fuck needs enemies?!?!?!?!  tongue wink

But I am back.  And full of piss and vinegar.  First, though, the visit.

Given all that’s happened/not happened, there’s no way I’d have done anything differently regarding this visit.  It was a long time in coming and I was not about to change it.  I already had to delay it once because of that bitch, Frances.  I did not want to do it again.

So I finally got to see my grand daughter................. and what a little sweetie! REALLY!!! (I guess all grandparents will say that even if the child is a spawn of the devil.)

But she IS sweet............and well tempered...............and happy.....................and a little doll.  I will have to buy my son a couple of shotguns to keep the boys at bay when she hits her teens!  She JUMPS into wakefulness with no grumpiness and no crying and immediately gives everyone a HUGE smile.  She LOVES getting bathed and playing in the water.  When awake, she’s always playful, never grumpy.  She eats what she’s given with no fussing.  And she LOVES to eat................and grab at the hair on Grandpa’s chinny-chin-chin.

The visit went really well and I got a chance to see my son and daughter-in-law in action as parents.  To say I was impressed would be an understatement. Like all things, when separated by such great distances for so long (as I’ve been over the past 13 years) with only phone calls, photos and the occasional visit to guide my opinions, it is human nature to allow the mind’s eye to formulate opinions/impressions based on those aforementioned observations.  Mine were favorable prior to the visit but wary, too, as I did not want to be too optimistic (I’ve always lived by the rule that it you are pessimistic you can never be disappointed!) But my high expectations paled in height and scope compared to what I actually experienced during the visit.

Needless to say I am tremendously proud of both of them and I left knowing Trinity is in loving, caring (and great) hands!

The only thing that spoiled the visit was the situation with Hurricane Ivan.  For the first few days my waking hours were focused 50/50 on the visit and on the path of Ivan.  I was worried for my parents given that projections had it hitting the west coast by Tampa.  Then Sunday rolled around and focus turned to the Panhandle.  I was able to relax a bit and my only concern then became whether I’d be held up in Dallas if Ivan’s tropical force winds caused flights to be delayed in Tampa.  But that was not the case.

Of course, not all went well during the visit.  Dan’s computer decided it wanted to bite the big one on the third day there so I was not able to check mail.  We tried formatting the hard drive a couple of times and each time kept getting different results whenever we either tried loading the operating system, getting on line or loading MacAfee. In between trying to fix the box, playing with Trinity, caring for her needs, enjoying each other’s company, visiting with great-grandpa and lots of other stuff, we just ran out of time and could not fix the beast.

We figure either the problem is hardware related (motherboard?) (hard drive?--- it DID have some bad sectors) or software related (I lean away from that one since it is not probable that all the disks we used are corrupt) Anyway, Number One son is going to buy a new HD and give that a try.

There you have it.  The reasons for my seeming quiet the past few days.

Still in the process of going through correspondence and reading what’s happening in the news.  I’ll start posting soon.

And pix will also be posted!

Memo To All: Allan here! It’s lies, all lies, I tells ya! Vilmar is dead and I killed him. Mwah-ha-ha-ha-ha .... this post evidently came from from some evil hacker. I’m in charge now. I rule BMEWS. I am king. Vilmar is dead and flushed down the toilet!!!! Bwah-hah-ha-h-ha ....

Memo To Self:Jeez! Maybe I need to stop taking those special pills Al Gore sent me. Whaddya think?

Self To Memo:Yep, I’d say you need to throw those “special pills” out.

He’s Back!

I just got an e-mail from Vilmar. He made it back home to Florida last night. His flight got in late and he’s resting. I expect he’ll be catching up on all the excitement of the last week. He hasn’t had access to the internet since last Thursday. There’s a LOT of catching up to do. Look for the explosion from our Benevolent Dictator later today. Stand clear!

Update: OK. you folks caught me out. Vilmar is not back. I killed him, chopped the body up and ran the pieces through my garbage disposal. Now, I’m in charge! Bwah-hah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha ....
