Happy Tax Day

Get to work proles. Fill out those forms. Send in your money. You OWE it to the government. They NEED it.

Because poor Harry Reid can’t get by on $175,000 a year plus all the graft he can skim from the ChiComs.

Because the IRS needs your money to continue their campaign of harassing Conservative groups.

And don’t ever forget how much guns and ammo cost, that entire alphabet soups of government agencies need to keep you in your place; why I hear now that the hundreds of soldiers, cops, FBI agents, and BLM snipers around Cliven Bundy’s ranch didn’t even have bullets in the hundreds of guns they were aiming at the unarmed citizens engaged in peaceful protest, while threatening to shoot those same protestors. Probably because those folks had the audacity to NOT have their protest within some BLM specified “free speech” zone.

But those are really only very minor examples of what your government needs your money for. The very largest need they have is to give it to other people, often disguised as a political favor to ensure their reelection. But income redistribution, “spreading the wealth around” is what the government does. Assisted by hundreds of thousands of very well paid workers with no oversight and no accountability and no chance of ever losing their jobs. And so many of these people have a political agenda that silently guides them, an agenda you would never even think of. But most of what’s left after it flows through the sticky fingers of “management costs” goes to our poor. Folks who live better than 90% of the rest of humanity worldwide, but this is America. But hey, they don’t have jobs, so we’ve got to extend a hand.

Another enormous chunk of your taxes goes to funneling money to foreign governments, these days mainly countries who are what the kids call “best frenemies”. Friendly enemies we’re always nearly ready to have a war with, but in the meantime let’s buy every last product they can produce or dig out of the ground, and while we’re at it let’s borrow trillions from them at usurious interest rates. So in essence we’re paying fat interest to borrow our own money back, to hand it out to our people who don’t have jobs, because the jobs they might have had are now in these “frenemy” nations employing their ever growing population while ours declines. Meanwhile, hundreds of islands right off the coast of the US are chock full of unemployed or underemployed foreigners, many of whom would cherish the chance to grow or build something to sell to those rich Americans right next door. Screw them. We’ll send all our cash to the absolute opposite ends of the earth before we build up the economies of our own little neighbors.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:

1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere

It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.
