Happy Stuff
Our allies are coming out and thanking us for re-electing Bush.
American allies in Asia hailed the re-election of President Bush as a victory for the global war on terror and expressed hope his second term would help defuse nuclear tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
Pakistan, Australia, Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, Australia and the Philippines all offered congrats.
The whiney European bastards (who we should NEVER forgive) made noises about how we need to bridge differences. I say we can begin that process when they get on their knees and ask our forgiveness for their stupid actions the past three years. Then they can all agree to forgive Iraq’s debt, agree to provide soldiers to defend the Iraqi people against terrorists, and agree to return all the money they looted from the Iraqis. When they are done with that their women can stay on their knees and give us all blow jobs while they’re at it. Ladies, I’ll let you decide what you’d like European men to do for you.
One raghead shopkeeper had this to say:
“I fear he (Bush) will take actions that could cause the relationship between Muslims and the West to worsen. This will make the world a more dangerous place”
Speaking of “cowboys and muslims” maybe we need to start playing that game on college campuses.
Now here’s a guy that understands what’s going on. Our pal, Pooty-Poot!!
I know I am very happy to see this and am sure many of you are, too!
A nice summary of some new faces in the Congress and another of the reasons why I am so happy and wearing a shit-eating grin just thinking about our victory! (Just skip over the Democrats!)
Here’s Peggy Noonan’s take on the victory. She wants us to savor it. Some tasty bits:
Savor: George W. Bush is the first president to win more than 50% of the popular vote since 1988. (Bill Clinton failed to twice; Mr. Bush failed to last time and fell short of a plurality by half a million.) The president received more than 59 million votes, breaking Ronald Reagan’s old record of 54.5 million. Mr. Bush increased his personal percentages in almost every state in the union. He carried the Catholic vote and won 42% of the Hispanic vote and 24% of the Jewish vote (up from 19% in 2000.)
Savor: The Democrats have lost their leader in the Senate, Tom Daschle.
Savor: The elites of Old Europe are depressed.
Savor: George Soros cannot buy a presidential election.
Savor: “Volunteers” who are bought and paid for cannot beat volunteers who come from the neighborhood, church, workplace and reading group.
Savor: A ragtag band of more than a million Republican volunteers who fought like Washington’s troops at Valley Forge beat the paid Hessians of King George III’s army.
Read the rest of her article. Please. You will not regret it.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.
- Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
- Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
- Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
- Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
