Happy Birthday
This blog was born in the midst of a dark and stormy night as lightning flashed above the castle and the mad scientist laughed hysterically at the wondrous piece of crap he had created to plague the blogosphere and harass the local idiots. Within seconds the beast lurched to its feet and stumbled out of the castle into the rainy night in pursuit of lunatic ratbags. The rest is hstory ....
Over the last three years I have had the pleasure of entertaining you folks out there on the other side of this monitor, I’ve seen thousands of blogs pop up in the blogosphere and disappear just as fast. Some I really miss. They know who they are.
This stupid blog has seen its share of ups and downs in those years and at times it seemed as if this blog was going to disappear and go away to the Blog Graveyard In The Sky. Somehow, we managed to muddle through.
The readers here have rotated through an endless cycle. They come. They go. They come back. And some jump in and disappear forever. It has been an education for me to watch the broad spectrum of people come and go. People from every walk of life, every level of education and every level of ignorance at times. Yes, we’ve seen our share of trolls - who proved to be highly entertaining.
Then there is the silent readership. Yeah, you know who you are. They come from all over the planet, although there seems to be a particularly large number from the Middle East. I wonder why? Europe, China, Japan, Africa, South America, Australia - everybody seems to find this blog at one time or another and they usually find something to argue about or fight over. The society of Man - at its best and its worst. That is the essence of the blogosphere. Out of chaos ... more chaos.
896 current members, 8,371 posts, 55,974 comments, 1,613,299 unique visitors, 2,047,097 pages viewed by people from 193 countries. God only knows how much bandwidth we’ve sucked out of the internet over three years.
Will this blog still be here next year to celebrate a fourth birthday? Beats the f**k out of me. You’ll have to stick around and see. I have no real goal or agenda here. I just keep plugging away at what I find interesting and try to stir up trouble in the bargain. If I had to pick any one reason why I keep at this crap, it would be because ... I like to write and I want to make people think.
So I’ll keep writing if you’ll keep thinking - and help spread the word to all the Barking Moonbats out there that their day is done ... or it will be eventually. We, the people who are smart enough to know when someone is full of shit and are perfectly willing to call a spade a spade have declared War On Ignorance and Narrow-Minded Assholes. You’re either with us or you’re against us. LET’S ROLL ... !
In Memoriam: Stinkerr (Bob Kerr) [1948-2006], we made it this far, buddy. I hope you’re up there looking down and getting a good laugh out of this bullshit. We miss you, pal.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot.
